. Michael Allen 2006. Charming short novel about the insanity that is reality TV. Reviewed here.
- Year's Best SF 11
. Ed. Hartwell & Cramer 2006. Excellent science fiction short stories. I particularly liked the contributions by Langford, Gregory, Robson, MacLeod, Rucker, Jarpe, Sterling, McAuley, Chiang, Morton, Reynolds, Haldeman. Reviewed here.
- Voices
. Ursula K. LeGuin 2006. A fantasy novel with a coming-of-age theme and a sub-text about the occupation of Iraq. Reviewed here.
- Orsinian Tales
. Ursula K. LeGuin 1976. Beautiful short stories, written by an Oregonian dreaming about alt-historical Balkans. A little-known gem in LeGuin's extensive oeuvre.

Speaking of alt-historical Balkan fantasy, have you read Avram Davidson's "Doctor Eszterhazy" tales? Very recommended reading!
