That is one big freakin' Easter Bunny. Even taking into account the angle of the picture making the rabbit look larger, a 3-ft long, 35 pound rabbit? My granny would have called that some good eatin'.

This has already been posted at scienceblogs, and the issue has been settled in favor of those who war on Easter: it is a were-rabbit of the sort dealt with in the documentary "Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit."

Pay no attention to the heretic, it's a mutant monster rabbit as in the documentary Night of the Lepus.

Good lord!

You could feed a family of five with a 35-pound rabbit. Of course, you'd have to bring it down with a AR-15 before you could have it for dinner.

35 pounds? I'm not sure. Herman the German Giant is nearly 1 m tall (3'4") and weighs 7.7 kg (17 lbs)

My rabbit friend, Harvey, here is 6 feet tall. And he can beat up your puny bunnies with one paw tied behind his back.

Harvey wasn't a rabbit, he was a pooka...

It sure looks real but people have been fooled before i.e. http://www.snopes.com/photos/animals/bigcat.asp. This may also be the result of genetically modified carrots or perhaps even EMF from newly placed power lines. This did happen in England right? Crop circles? I rest my case.

I don't believe the 35lbs, since according to Snopes the biggest rabbit weighted 26lb 7oz. Still a decent weight.
