PZ Myers got expelled from the line to see the movie Expelled tonight, apparently for the crime of actually being PZ Myers. That's definitely ironic, and possibly hypocritical. His family and his guest were allowed to go in and watch the movie. His guest was Richard Dawkins. Yes, that Richard Dawkins. That particular move was so amazingly stupid that they're gonna need to come up with a new word for it.
No, I'm not kidding. No, this isn't a premature April Fools joke. No, it's not an attempt at satire.
It's just creationists managing to shoot an own-goal hat trick.

Comments
It may not be be April Fools but it is actually Purim, which is a Jewish holiday with a similar element of silliness. Indeed, the holiday celebrates in part unexpected reversals.

"Own-goal hat trick" is the third-funniest thing I've read today, the first two being PZ's original post and Cuttlefish's version in verse. Well said, sir.

Own goal hat trick is very funny, Mike! You hit the weasel with a mallet with that one.
It's clear to me that they wanted PZ out of the theater to avoid an embarrassing Q&A. PZ will see the film in good time.
But, also clearly, they failed to recognize Dawkins who is like a PZ on Steroids!
Hilarity ensued.

I'm not sure PZ will actually get to see the movie. The nearest theater signed up to show it is about 1,000 miles from where he lives!
