Please stay tuned in this spot for news about future installments of the Club. If you have any comments or suggestions about what you'd like to see in the future, or how we can make the Club better, please leave them in the comments below, or drop us an email. I was already a huge Carl Zimmer fan when this book club started, so I had microcosm as soon as it came out.

For the future, I'd like plenty of advance notice for which books will be used, so I can have time to read a significant portion of the books, and hopefully have more intelligent questions to ask the authors.

I agree with Measure. If we get advance notice of the book to be discussed, it really helps. I went to a large bookstore and couldn't find Microcosm. The notice helps us find a copy if we don't already have one and to get started reading it. Even though I didn't manage to get a copy of Carl's book in time, I learned a great deal just from reading the posts and comments in this blog. I look forward tot he next one.

I agree with the first two posters. Advance notice: Great! I am not through the book yet, but am enjoying reading the posts and comments as I go along. This is just a fabulous idea for those of us who didn't get a lot of science in school, but are interested in it now. Thanks!

Thank you very much for introducing me to this delightful book. Unlike others, I did not know Carl Zimmer from Don Zimmer. This book was an interesting combination of great experiments I remember from grad school (having not thought about a fluctuation test in many years) and new results on this "simple" germ.

Please do continue to have this book club. Perhaps the other science writer has a book to flog. I agree with the others that advance warning is key-- it can take some time to acquire the book of the moment.

Also, there should be a link to the book club as part of the blogs list on the ScienceBlogs front page.

Cheers, Jen Mach
