I hope he's not for real. Then again, I suppose there are a lot of poeple who think like that. It's just sad that there are people who know how to use computers and as such presumably have some exposure to the world at large, and still think like that.

Considering that no all terrorists are true Arabs the guy is seriously off his rocker.
Anyhow to 'kill' the middle east in general, lets have energy independence. Starve countries like Saudi Arabia, Iran, etc. of oil revenue and in the case of Iran, see where their nuclear program goes, or how fast Mahmoud Ahmadinejad changes his tune.

The way I see it, there are two possibilities with posts like this. 1) It's just someone's weird juxtaposition, kind of like those old "Nuke the Whales" T-shirts. Take a weird idea and make it more weird (this case). 2) The person is serious, in which case they are seriously demented. Fortunately, they are usually not in control of anything important, and thus, of no serious consequence as any sane person reading the blog will come to the same conclusions I have.

Horrid moral logic which flies in the face of the right wing idea that morality comes from religion only. If "killing" a zygote in deep freeze, an act the author considers immoral, is acceptable then genocide to protect other zygotes is acceptable.
Any tolerable immoral act justifies all immorality no matter how aberrant.

Internet socialization is quite revealing, isn't it?
People blog, make websites, and comment as if they were among like-minded friends. They routinely say things online they'd never say in mixed company in real life.
Thousands - if not millions - of sick and warped delusions which were once kept closeted in relatively private communities of like-minded folk, are now on public display for everyone to gawk at.
The internet confers the illusion of privacy, and in so doing reveals that the ugly side of humanity is far more common than many formerly suspected.

It's clearly an attempt at an "A Modest Proposal" type screed, but in the classic style of right wing humour it is both morally hideous and misses the point of satire. As Amanda at Pandagon and many others have pointed out and as is blindingly obvious to anyone with any reading comprehension skills, the satire of A Modest Proposal wasn't aimed at the Irish but rather at the moral degeneracy of those advocating "tough love" solutions. As usual, the wingnuts get it completely backwards and think that the eliminationist, bloodthirsty rhetoric is the point.
If any of those wingnuts are reading, here's a cut-out-and-keep guide: it's not satire if your actual viewpoint is simply a milder version of the one you profess to hold.

How can you tell it's parody? It looks like a very unsubtle demonstration of redneck pride -- reminds me of Dubyas "Bring it on" ignorant bravado. The Chuck Rangel/draft article doesn't seem too subtle as parody or satire.
The blogroll is almost exclusively rightwing, the adverts are rightwing, and the Weblog Finalist category are in the category of lunatic ravings of Pamela wannabees.

I can tell it's parody. Most people that visit that site can tell it's parody (with Caustic Sarcasm being a category, for cripe's sake).

And my answer is: Considering that Redneck pride is misguided pride in demonstrated ignorance, I'd choose no pride if that's the alternative. I may well be stupid, but to be publicly prideful of ignorance is just too much.

Just because you drunkenly grab the frobulator and wrench it to the right until it breaks off in your hand doesn't make it parody or satire. It just makes it over-the-top rightwing shit. Satire and parody usually involves some form of irony; if it doesn't, it's generally performance art or deranged ravings confusing itself. The first time I visited, Jesus' General I knew it was satire and parody. The first time I visited Stormfront I knew it wasn't, but now you've got me thinking that maybe under your definition those Chick tracts are parody too...
Oh, you boys and gals of the munger horde are some cards alright; I haven't seen so much bullshit since BV and Cao.

JKB, Funny you should mention Jesus' General. Also funny you should mention the draft post. You do realize, of course that post was a copy and paste from Operation Yellow Elephant where I merely changed "Republican" to "Democrat" and changed "War" to "Draft."

Only ignorant minds think that the US is a great country to be in. Truly enlightened minds would realize that the US is a crappy country with crappy leaders and deserve to be mocked, ridiculed, and lose any and all wars/battles they are currently in.
Only ignorant minds would be proud to have been in the military, even if "all he did" was drive the Colonel, answer questions about my pay at S-4, or want to be a JAG officer. Enlightened minds would see that there are levels of respect earned in the military and 'chute packers are so much more deserving of such respect.
Thank God I'm ignorant. Enlightenment looks to be a little too much for my simple life.
