  • Enthusiasm for the subject
  • Comfort with the level of knowledge and understanding of the material
  • Some minimal level of organization ability
  • Pacing
  • Some patience, but not too much
  • Some ineffable ability to explain stuff
  • Did I mention patience, lots of patience
  • Time. Practise. Time.
