A friend of mine gave me that link. Looks like it has more info on the photos in question. The camera that took it used a 1/8000s exposure time!
Thierry Legault also has an Atlantis and ISS photo.
The click through links go to the NASA web page that has the info on the photographer.
I grabbed this off the Twitter feed, so had essentially no info other than when and where it was taken, when I posted it.
I am presuming high speed digital through a small solar telescope with neutral filter.
Legault was the photographer.
