Yeah -- I remember Doctor Fun from the Mosaic Era -- but that particular strip you've posted is a bit of a rip off of the "Far Side" strip about porno films for microbes -- in which the audience of cells is hooting "Oh Baby! Divide! Divide!" at the cells on the screen.
