Proven! Years back when I had inflammation of the heart muscle, and after being a rag-doll in practitioners' hands, I decided to cure myself: got Ephraim Kishon's books and laugh my guts out! Oh, yes, Ogden Nesh helped a bunch, too (especially in Dragoslav Andric's translation, e.g. "Smesna smesa Ogden-a Nesh-a") :D What I love the best is a combination - the best sleep after good laughter! Thanks, Bora, for this one :-)

Dakle, carevi i Ogden i Dragoslav! When I got my first child, I was literally crying out of laughing reading Nesh. When I got second child, I even cried more laughing and wondering what a genius Nesh is! See through just like that!

Prvo i drugo dete

Prvo
...
...
Dete zbog koga gubite dah
I posrcete u isti mah,
Blistavo kao zvezde, gipko kao perece,
Jedino savrseno od sve dece!

Drugo

"Jeste, nocas u pola dva...
Dobro su oboje... bio sam tu...
Da li je decko il' seka? Ko zna -
Telefonirajte ujutru babici, pitajte nju."

I would never believe in transformation of the parents in such a short period of time, if it didn't happened to me as well... shame on us!
