I am the Online Community Manager at PLoS-ONE (Public Library of Science). My scientific specialty is chronobiology (circadian rhythms and photoperiodism), with additional interests in comparative physiology, animal behavior and evolution. Now if people would just use our scienceblogging.com wiki (which, btw, was down all day but is fixed now) to co-ordinate their travel and hotels, and to add questions to the discussions before the conference starts....

I've used wikis with my graduate students for two semesters now -- and it's easy enough for all of them to use, even those who've been out of school for 10 or 20 years. I will use this video too -- both for them to learn how to post to a wiki, and to learn how to evaluate other people's wikis!
