My scientific specialty is chronobiology (circadian rhythms and photoperiodism), with additional interests in comparative physiology, animal behavior and evolution. I am not an MD so I cannot diagnose and treat your sleep problems. As well as writing this blog, I am also the Online Discussion Expert for PLoS. This is a personal blog and opinions within it in no way reflect the policies of PLoS. You can contact me at: Coturnix@gmail.com

Uhmmm ... how about we go there, sample more than a few of them (h3ll, maybe all of them..??) including Brian's, and then decide who might most deserve to win..?? Would hate to see it 'pharyngulized' or whatever the hell swamping online polls is called here now.
Oh wait, after reading a few of the comments at both the announcement and polling pages . . .it is too late. It already is a 'stuff the ballot box' award. Geezus.
Seems kinda silly to have the award/choice decided by a poll or vote anyway. I also love the guidance given at the poll page.
Just a crazy layman's thought...
