I know standards for this series are quite loosey-goosey, but could somebody please tell me where the clock/time allusion is here?

Most, but not all, of the quotes contain one or more of these words: time, clock, sleep, day, year, annual, season, quotidian, lunar...etc, sometimes hidden within longer word, e.g., "someTIMEs".
