Five Perfect Rock Songs

Category: musicpersonal
Posted on: August 27, 2009 12:38 PM, by John Dupuis

Apparently inspired by the occasional Five Songs I Love posts I've been doing (here, here and here), Ava at Jemsite asked me if I wouldn't mind coming up with one for their blog.

Well, it sounded like a cool idea -- so here's what I came up with.

It was a fun experience so I hope to do more guest posts as time and inspiration allow.

Thanks, Ava!

Jemsite has apparently been around for a long time -- but I hadn't run across it until Ava contacted me a few days ago, asking if I'd like to do a guest post on the blog on the topic of music theory for guitarists (I run a music theory education site).

It sounds like she's really doing some legwork to get in some diverse content on the blog! That's cool.

Yes, it is very cool. I think they're trying to do something similar to what tor.com is doing for the science fiction and fantasy communities.

Thank you guys! That is EXACTLY what I'm trying to do--bring new and interesting content to Jemsite and bring Jemsite to a whole new audience. I hope it's working...
