Baby Alligator

This was one of Reuters top photos for the day, yesterday. It shows a

albino alligator.  Not only is it an unusual
subject, but
it is a pretty good picture.

We have an albino alligator in our local zoo. Apparently they are not all that uncommon — a certain fairly fixed percentage. In the wild they don’t survive long, however, due to the lack of camouflage.
