This is a photo of Horseshoe Bend, in Arizona. It was one of the featured images on Wikipedia. It is from a selection of photos that are good for use as wallpaper for widescreen monitors (16:10 aspect ratio). The original is 1231 × 821 pixels.

We took a raft ride down that river a few summers ago. It's funny how going around that bend you don't have any sense of it - it just seems like a short curve.
Also, looking up at the sheer canyon walls is just incredible.
