Cheney Gets Defibrilator; Bush In Power Briefly

Category: Humor
Posted on: July 28, 2007 10:44 AM, by Joseph j7uy5

President George W. Bush will have a brief opportunity to know what it is like to be in command, when VP Dick Cheney undergoes surgery to replace his automatic implantable cardioverter defibrillator.  White House spokesman Tony Snow told reporters, "This will be an historic occasion.  Under the terms of the 28th Amendent, for the first time ever, VP Cheney will hand over power to the President."  He noted that it will be the first time the 28th Amendment has been invoked.  He did not, however, disclose the full contents of the 28th Amendment, citing national security risks.

The Justice Department indicated, thorugh a high-ranking official, that they would refuse requests for the text of the Amendment.  Speaking on condition of anonymity, the Attorney General pointed out that it is much more difficult for terrorists to break our laws, when they do not know what those laws are.

"it is much more difficult for terrorists to break our laws..."

And the Government can never break those secret laws, need just make up the Laws as it go.

With any luck there'll be an adverse reaction to any one of the anesthetics used.

But then what will Bush do without the guidance of Cheney and his Absolutist doctrine?

"With any luck there'll be an adverse reaction to any one of the anesthetics used."

Wow. And they say "hate is not a family value". Feel the love.

BC has a point, but I must point out that there is a difference between hating someone based upon their religion, ethnicity, or political affiliation, and hating someone based upon that individual's long history of sociopathic behavior.

Hate is hate. To describe Cheney as having a "long history of sociopathic behavior" seems to be a bit hyerbolic and suggests that you really don't like him (or perhaps you have some kind of evidence besides "He ran Halliburton!")

Maybe what you're saying is, "it's okay to hate someone you don't like?"

Conservatives are branded as hatemongers merely for having policies liberals don't agree with. Here Tony P wishes death on an individual. Who's full of hate?

Feel the love.
