The response from the authors of Freakonomics to the criticism has been underwhelming. Dubner blames Caldeira for the fact that Dubner misrepresented him. Myrhvold cotinues to insist that waste heat from solar panels is significant when it isn't.

HARDtalk's Stephen Sackur misrepresented a statement from a Greenpeace news story, claiming that it said the Greenland ice cap could melt by 2030 when in fact it was saying that Arctic sea ice could all melt by 2030.
