The sad thing I’ve found about Rand fanatics is that they are almost always the very “simpletons” they supposedly despise. The only people I see “going Galt” are trailer park living, non-educated leeches, who think they’re somehow in the top 1% of the country because they make $30K per year when the rest of the trailer park makes $20K.
Yes, please! Go Galt!! My taxes will go down for sure!

Funnily enough, the only people I’ve ever known who really did anything like “going Galt” were all hippies.

Funnily enough on the other side of things, a sizeable majority of the people I’ve ever met who were hardcore Objectivists/free-marketers/etc. were also jobless and dependent on their parents or other relatives.
I guess it’s easy to pretend that everyone can bootstrap themselves (and those who don’t are worthless leeches) when you’ve never even had to try.

I always found it fascinating that people advocate Going Galt. Who builds your mansions, cleans them, and parks your car when you’re away from all the leeches?
