This First Annual Conference for New Jersey Biotechnology Educators will be held on Saturday, Oct. 4th at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey.
I'm excited about attending this conference, not only because of the biotechnology part, but because I've reading Sarah Vowel's book Assassination vacation
What can you look forward to seeing if you come to West Long Branch?
The morning features some exciting talks: Elaine Johnson, head of Bio-Link, will be discussing trends in Biotechnology Education. Melanie Lenahan, David Alvarez, David Fusco, and Traci Nanni-Dimmey will describe biotechnology programs in New Jersey.
In the afternoon, there will be hands-on workshops on stem cells, microarrays, and metagenomics (This one's mine).
