Youtube is fast becoming the greatest and most useful webpage in existence. It allows us to post video footage directly to our blogs without having to upload it all. Here's one I came across on Captain Rational's site and just had to post here. It's Keith Olbermann shredding Bill O'Reilly and catching him in a lie about American troops during WW2 - not once, but twice. View it below:

Ed Brayton is a journalist, commentator and speaker. He is the co-founder and president of Michigan Citizens for Science and co-founder of The Panda's Thumb. He has written for such publications as The Bard, Skeptic and Reports of the National Center for Science Education, spoken in front of many organizations and conferences, and appeared on nationally syndicated radio shows and on C-SPAN. Wow. I'm not even sure what O'Reilly's point was in the first place - two of *our own* wrongs make a right?

This isn't the first time O'Reilly has done this. I launched into him the first time but assumed it was just a slipup on his part. This second time around led me to believe that he is so desperate to justify abuses in Iraq that he's willing to slime the U.S. Army during WWII. Indeed, there were some interesting comments in my most recent post about just this despicable denigration of U.S. troops suggesting that maybe O'Reilly had been "remembering" scenes from Saving Private Ryan as history.

Simple: WWII was 'the good war'. Anything we did in that war was good, so if we do the same now, it is good.
