As if this story couldn’t get any more bizarre, you’ve got to see the website of Yehuda Levin’s group, Jews for Morality. It hasn’t been updated in a long time, but it has information about last year’s event that they tried mightily to stop. At last year’s parade, one lunatic jumped into the parade and started stabbing people, injuring three marchers before police managed to subdue him. And these whackos actually blamed the victims:

Who stabbed the marchers at the Jerusalem homo-pride parade? Well, you say, it’s obvious, the protestor who jumped into the line of march and stabbed three people. An open-and-shut case–isn’t it?

Perhaps, it’s not so simple….

He then goes on to give a timeline of all their attempts to stop the parade from happening, including an attempt to physically block the parade route, all of which were rightly prevented by the courts and the police. And then, as though it was self-evident that anyone who didn’t agree that this was outrageous deserved to be stabbed, he concludes:

So now you know the story.

What do you think? Who caused the bloodshed at the march?

Was it the young man, a quiet Talmudic scholar, father of five, with no police record, who stated that he acted “in the name of G-D…”

…Or was it the left-wing politicians and the left-wing judiciary, who forced this abomination on an unwilling populace?

That’s an incredibly easy question: it was the Talmudic scholar, no matter how many kids he has or how quiet he allegedly was. The author here is essentially arguing that if the courts allow an event you don’t like and you decide to become a terrorist and try to murder innocent people for daring to march in favor of something you dislike, it’s the fault of the person being murdered, not the one attempting to murder them. This, ladies and gentlemen, is moral insanity.

And if you’re not angry enough by that, check out this article by Rabbi Levin himself where he actually compares the gay rights lobby to the Nazis – while endorsing a Third Reich-style solution to “drive homosexual missionaries” out of the country:

Josef Goebbels, Hitler’s talented minister of propaganda, would have heartily concurred–repeat the lie over and over again, and people will soon come to accept it….

It is clear that JOH is a cancer that is spreading within the Holy City. This cancer must be removed before it is too late…

The great Torah sage and dean of the world’s largest rabbinical seminary, Rabbi Aaron Kotler, of blessed memory, warned many years ago that the desecration of Jerusalem brings death and destruction on the Jewish people, Heaven forbid (Mishnas Rav Aaron, Chelek 4).

The Jerusalem Open House should be outlawed, just as terrorist groups that threaten the safety and security of the Jewish people in the Holy Land are outlawed.

Astonishing, isn’t it? His rant about the need to remove the gay cancer from society echoes precisely the words of Hitler himself about Jews. “The Jews are a cancer on the breast of Germany,” Hitler declared. In a speech to the National Socialists in 1920, he declared:

Don’t think that one can fight against disease without killing the cause, without exterminating the germ; and don’t think that one can fight against racial tuberculosis without taking care that the peoples be freed of the germ of racial tuberculosis. The effect of Judaism will never disappear and the poisoning of the people will not end unless the cause – the Jews – are removed from our presence.

Sound familiar, Rabbi?

Taken from Point 3 of the Timeline: “thereby proving, once again, that the Reform, Conservative, and Reconstructionist movements are not Judaism.”

Presumably, this needs to be stated because there is not enough anti-semitism in the world already.

I have to confess, I never really understood the Wars of Religion, tending to see such things from an economic perspective instead. But this is just pure, undistilled hatred.

By the way, it should be said that the organizers of this year’s (now-cancelled) march are demonstrating exceptional bravery here. May we all be so willing to speak truth to power. Peace.

I have a three step program for the middle east… want to hear it?

1) Pull all troops out of the middle east, but continue selling them weapons (in exchange for oil) provided they have a range no greater than 200 miles.

2) Permit free green cards and fast-track immigration for anyone fleeing the middle east for any reason. Provide assistance with transportation too.

3) Let the sane people leave and come here where they will contribute productively to our society. Let the rest suffer and die in their delusions and holy wars.

The last sentence sounds harsh, but remember folks… it’s self-inflicted.

I’m afraid your solution presupposes that the persecuted do not about-face and become persecutors once they reach “free soil”. . . . But history speaks otherwise. Just remember the Egyptians after Ahmose expelled the Hyksos, the Israel-Judeans under Solomon (genocide of the Amalekites, 1 Samuel 15, anybody?), the Pilgrim Fathers at Plymouth, etc., etc.

I think the point is that this gentle, responsible soul was driven to his violent act by his love for “G_d” and his righteous anger at this abomination being forced upon the unwilling populace.

They know what they speak of when the speak of chutzpah.

This doesn’t surprise me at all, I’m afraid. Fanatics of any stripe are always glad to watch their enemies suffer, and quick to excuse their allies for acting on their “justified anger”. It’s even easier for religious fanatics, because then it’s not just mundane retribution, but Divine Justice smiting the sinners.

I’m sorry, but what is so difficult about leaving Divine Punishment up to God? After all, if there were no sinners, how would these folk know who to persecute? The gays are really doing them a favor….

I tried to leave a comment at Jews for Morality site suggesting that all homosexuals wear pink triangles and get a number tatoo, in case they tear off the triangle, and then we could ship them to camps, where they can take a shower. But alas their comment submission does not work

Well, I don’t know if it’s the same for Jews, but among particularly zealous Christians and Muslims there seems to be this terrible fear of being corrupted by the minions of Satan in their midst. Sure, the sinners will be punished by God in their own time, but in the meantime, they’re a threat to your very soul!

This is a particularly vicious expansion of the common “If only they wouldn’t shove it in our faces” trope, which here becomes a Catch 22. If gay people keep quiet, the bigoted society goes along merrily believing gays are subhuman/corrupt, and therefore can be oppressed. But if gay people ask to be treated with basic human dignity, they are ipso facto a threat to the bigoted society, and therefore can be oppressed.

In short, fundamentalist Jews act very much like fundamentalist Muslims, excusing their own violence as sanctioned by their God, and blaming their victims for acting in a manner that offends their religion.

Levin is also on record as opposing the US Holocaust museum, because it included commemoration of homosexuals killed by the Nazis:

Ed, (or anyone else with some blog law), can I ask a theoretical question?

Is it be wrong to seek out these religious, anti-gay blogs and forums and link to some relatively extreme (in their eyes) photo-examples? Just grenade throwing to get them incensed or maybe to get them to poke their eyes out.

My logic would be that when they’re found, the blogoterrorists cells act, inundating with gay-pron; it would cause them to recoil in repulsion, close in on themselves and control the blogs and forums thus making them less open.

What if you post a link to these gay pron pictures and they claim that kids viewed it an are now traumatized or violated?

Do they have a legal case against you if it’s an open forum or blog? Is it vandalism?

Would it go along your view that we don’t have a right not to be offended?

Does a blog asking for comments have a leg to stand on if your comments are graphical in nature?

I understand what your comments mean, after considering what has been said. It is terrible that someone should get away with attacking & murdering innocent people, then blaming the victims. That does not come from god, but the devil.
