The very same night that the Dallas SWAT team burst in to several poker rooms, arrested and ticketed the players, and seized all their money, a VFW hall in Long Island that was hosting a poker tournament was also raided and all the cash taken. The difference: the theives in Dallas wore badges while the thieves in New York wore ski masks. The action is thievery nonetheless. Armed men burst in and took money that these people had earned and were wagering with other consenting adults in a game of skill. It’s armed robbery regardless of whether the law currently defines it as such.
