I came up with the idea for this Youtube video last weekend on my trip to San Francisco. When I asked for folks to help the other day, it was to put this together as well as a couple others I had ideas for, which are more complicated than this one. It was done by Louis Shackleton, the man behind the UDreamOfJanie page (a blog that fooled me, and ensnared DaveScot into a highly amusing string of embarrassments). The script and idea were mine, but Louis came up with the ideas for using the pictures and the Buckingham video, and he's the one who actually did the work. So thanks to Lou for his excellent work. On with the show:

Hey look! I'm famous now!
Great idea, Ed. The other ones are already in the works.

There's the guy talking about Creationism, then there's some sharp percussion that sounds too much like gun shots. You don't want to give the impression you're advocating vigilantism to take care of the problem.
Posted by: Mustafa Mond, FCD | November 20, 2006 10:17 AM
Those sounds are a judge's gavel, not a gun.
Posted by: Ed Brayton | November 20, 2006 10:29 AM
That guy is William Buckingham, the fella who said under oath that he never mentioned creationism, anytime, anywhere.
That sound is a judge's gavel. I could turn the volume down on it, but I had left it up for dramatic effect.
Ack. I never thought it might sound like gunshots.

Thanks, Ed. Guess I should have refreshed before I commented.
Posted by: Lou FCD | November 20, 2006 10:47 AM
Maybe you could superimpose some video of a gavel in the corner or something.

Talkin' 'bout a montageeeee.
MONTAGEEEEEEE!!
What program was this made in?
Posted by: FishyFred | November 20, 2006 12:41 PM
Good Job boys and 'girls'.
Posted by: Rich | November 20, 2006 12:52 PM
Two programs, actually. I used WinDVD Creator and Windows Movie Maker for different things.

Thanks Rich, Mustafa, and FishyFred, for your comments.
I've been trying to keep an eye on comments here to answer any questions and helpful critisms that pop up, (plus I'm always up for an ego boost), but I've come down with a rather nasty headache so if you'll forgive me, I believe I'm going to retire for the day.
Again, thanks to Ed for putting this up.

Dover has been such a big pony christmas gift, the taste still satisfies. The short bus pulled up to the courthouse and conservative christians Casey, Behe, Buckingham etc bumble inside, and proceed to pee all over themselves on the witness stand, and Buckingham's high on Hillbilly Heroin and falls through the witness stand like Chris Farley used to fall through a podium. Judge Jones, a conservative christian himself but also a man of some moral fiber, is so shocked and appalled at what these monkeys are doing to his courtroom that he writes a 130-page opinion that even *I* find thrilling, and legal stuff usually bores me to tears, before telling the DA that he outta prosecute these lying bastards. Dembski's on the other side of the country, hiding in a backwoods preacher school pretending this is all going well, and has nothing to do with christianity, but the stress is building up and he's starting to sulk and lash out at his wife these days...
