What Would Gribbit Do?

Category:
Posted on: December 4, 2006 9:46 AM, by Ed Brayton

You can only laugh when you see posts like this from cretins like Gribbit. He's putting his Christianity on display for us all, copying the celebration of the first advent from the Companion Missal of the Catholic Church. Ironically, it includes an admonition from Paul on "how you should conduct yourselves to please God" and he ends it with "peace be with you all." Bear in mind that this is the same guy who, just a few months ago, was saying things like this:

I'm off to Cleveland this afternoon to see if a couple of my favorite trolls have the intestinal fortitude to show up and take the ass beating they deserve. So if I don't post for a day or so, that's because I'm in jail.

When I was growing up, you refrained from using the liar moniker because to allow that to fly indiscriminately was grounds for a fat lip. Well there are a couple of trolling moonbats who, like Al Franken, have a "liar" fetish and I've invited them to meet me this evening to get what they deserve. Although, I have a feeling as though all I'm going to get out of this trip to Cleveland is a good dinner.

If they don't have the stones to show, it will be apparent. I'll post something when I get home to prove it to you all.

Yep, that's just what Jesus would do, threaten to beat someone up and make fun of them as cowards if they didn't show up to have their ass kicked. Today's award for rank hypocrisy goes to you. Wear it in good health.

I still can't believe this, every time I read it. A grown man appealing to the laws of the playground. Is he really that immature, or was he trying to remind his audience of the halcyon days of their youth, when people took personal responsibility and settled things between them without having to bring the law into it, the traditional family was still strong, etc., etc., etc., ad nauseum.

Whatever is the case, he'd better watch himself. Jesus condemned hypocrisy more strongly than just about anything else.

That is hilarious. I wonder if he ever gets into "My dad can kick your dad's ass" arguments or maybe he arm wrestles to see who's argument carries more weight.

What a moran.

But Gribble is apparently having some back trouble, needed a new chair, I don't think he's going to kick anybody's non-christist backside these days.

Oh, I didn't forget, Skemono. That incident has always made me wonder: there are many more occasions where Jesus's reputation or even safety was on the line, and he didn't raise a hand. What was it about the merchants in the temple that pissed him off so much? I've heard some comparisons between Jesus and socialists or even communists, but maybe that should wait for another time.

That's why I mentioned Christ's condemnation of hypocrisy instead of violence, in any case.

As for the Godmen...stupid. Just stupid. Somebody else saying: "Traditional, Christian Family Values mean whatever we say they mean, as long as you ain't a fag or a feminazi!"

Not all who say "Lord, Lord" and all that.
