No Dembski, No Cry

Posted on: February 14, 2007 9:05 AM, by Ed Brayton

Here's one of the stranger things you'll ever see: the story of the Dover trial as told in a reggae song. There's a story behind it, as told by Steve Reuland at the Panda's Thumb. The song is by the Genomic Dub Collective. They also do such songs as the Dobzhansky Dance Trance and Ras Darwin. The song includes references to all of the plaintiffs in the Dover case, Nick Matzke and many others (and yes, that's Nick's voice reading from Jefferson's letter to the Danbury Baptists). Irie, mon, irie.

But even to a reggae beat Nick still comes off like a nerd.

Sorry, Nick, it just had to be said.

LOL Skip. I was showing this to a friend last night and mentioned that it was Nick's voice at the beginning. Then I said, "But Nick is so white he's practically translucent, so I doubt he had much to do with the song."
