I’ve long made fun of Chris Buttars as the looniest politico in the nation, but it seems he has a challenger in his own state in Don Larsen, the chairman of the Utah County Republican Party. Larsen says that immigration is a Satanic plot:

Don Larsen, a district chairman, has submitted a resolution equating illegal immigration to “Satan’s plan to destroy the U.S. by stealth invasion” for debate at Saturday’s Utah County Republican Party Convention.

Referring to a plan by the devil for a “New World Order … as predicted in the Scriptures,” the resolution calls for the Utah County Republican Party to support “closing the national borders to illegal immigration to prevent the destruction of the U.S. by stealth invasion.”

This Satan is a busy guy.

    How exactly do you “close the borders to illegal immigration”. It’s like saying that you want to make illegal immigration against the law!

    Ed you are right of course the guy is a first class nut job, but ah:

    Him: “illegal immigration”

    You: “immigration”.

    Don’t you go and start getting Orwellian about this on me too.
