UPS has agreed to recognize civil unions in New Jersey and provide the same benefits in those situations as they do to married employees. That's great news. As I wrote previously, I don't think the law in New Jersey required them to do so, but I'm very happy that they've decided to provide those benefits anyway. Way to go, UPS.

I worked for UPS as a part time employee. Full dental and medical plus $2,000 per year for school. There is a reason that they are so successful.

There is a reason that they[UPS] are so successful.
Um, yeah. Just don't get anything shipped from the US to Canada with them. They apply usurious "brokerage" fees to figure out if your shipment is dutiable (even if it obviously isn't, like books or educational material). (Apologies for OT)

Ed, off topic briefly, sorry.
Is your email address correct in your profile? It looks different than one I've seen recently.

They may very well charge too much for the Customs brokerage fees, but it actually doesn't matter whether or not the goods being imported are dutiable - a Customs entry still has to be filed. Dutiable or duty free, it's still the same amount of work. So you'll end up paying for it no matter what, either as a separate item or rolled up in the freight rate.
(Also sorry for the OT.)

When o when will this persecution against Christians end? Now they can't even get a Bible delivered without being forced to accept the secular package of civil society. Oh, the humanity!

I did just hear Tony Perkins complaining about UPS's "politcally correct" decision.

It's a good thing I've been divorced for a decade, because I'm pretty sure this would have been the last straw that destroyed my marriage. How can a regular marriage survive when the UPS man might be in a domestic partnership?

Just one more step in the right direction! (Well, left direction, but the good direction.)

BigDumbChimp-
I have numerous email addresses, all of which reach me with the same speed. I keep Outlook open 24 hours a day and it checks all my email accounts at the same time every 10 minutes or so.
