Is finally here! The gentleman who managed to get it all downloaded, converted and chopped up does not wish to be identified, but I send my thanks to him anyway for what really turned out to be a lot of effort and time spent. There are two clips and I will post them both below the fold.

Does Rick Scarborough's take on illness as punishment from God apply to Tony Snow's cancer? Is it wrong for Snow's doctors to offer him treatment?

Thanks to the person who helped get this up, and thanks for going and speaking Ed, though for some reason I had a completely different mental image of what your voice would be like.

Saw it on C-SPAN. Way to go.

Ed: Extremely well done, my friend.

Great stuff, Ed. Funny, and informative.

I very much like your definitions of the term "ignorance". Now how to translate them into Dutch without losing strength ;-). Thanks for this great lecture.

Ed,
You were great.
The videos of my talk are also now up on YouTube and watchable here

Great. Anyone who didn't get to see it on C-Span, I highly recommend following that link and watching Chris' speech. It was terrific as always.

Great presentation. (And I see that you didn't really say anything about Charles Stanley.)
Anyway, I rarely comment here but I enjoy reading your blog. Thx.

Kinnaman sounded like a lot of fun, so I did a Google search. The top three results were the Christian Century article, something from a site about Atlantis, and someone's personal page about books that they've read. They quite enjoyed Kinnaman's work, did a Google search of their own, and seem disgruntled that Christian Century would pan him. They write:
Now I'm going to read Atlantis Rising. Hopefully they're respectable enough not to have had Martin Luther King Jr contribute anything!

Great talk, Ed! "Well known scholar and historian Chuck Norris" had me rolling.
But for some reason, the first video stops playing with 33 seconds left, and the second cuts off with 2 minutes left. Is anybody else having this problem?
Posted by: Wes | August 15, 2007 7:45 PM
Nope, they play to the end for me.

Great job, Ed.
It didn't actually hit me until I watched this, but this is the first time I've actually heard your voice. It's a little thing, I know. But it's cool to hear what you sound like. Plus, a year or two ago I asked you if you had any tape from your standup days and you said you didn't. So this also gives us all a chance to see your comedic delivery (at least a little).
Again, very well done.

Must be some error in my computer then. But no matter: I tried the link 386sx posted. It played just fine for me, so I got to see the whole thing. Really good stuff all around.

Oh, and also, thank you thank you thank you for posting it in a format other than RealPlayer. I'd wanted to watch it when you posted it earlier, but the C-Span website kept trying to get me to download some shit from RealPlayer before I could watch it. I'd rather swim in a candirĂº infested river than download something from that company.
...Okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration, but you get the idea. I hate RealPlayer.

I could watch you poke fun at Carl Baugh and Grant Jeffries all day.

Outstanding talk. Thanks for posting it here.
