This is an unbelievable story. An Italian judge has been sentenced to a year in prison for refusing to hear cases in a courtroom with a crucifix hanging on the wall. But guess what? All Italian courtrooms have to have such crucifixes in them as the result of an order issued under Mussolini in 1926. The judge is Jewish and says, quite correctly, that courtrooms should be free from all such religious symbolism so that those of every religion will feel that they will get equal justice. Unreal.
