Fossella Story Gets Worse

Category: Politics
Posted on: May 17, 2008 9:02 AM, by Ed Brayton

I'm sure by now you've all heard about Rep. Vito Fossella, yet another "family values" Republican legislator living a double life. He was arrested a couple weeks ago for driving with a blood alcohol level of more than twice the legal limit and he lied to police about where he was going. That led to the revelation that he had been having an affair for years with an Air Force intelligence officer, had fathered a child by her, and basically had two families, one in New York and one in Washington DC. Family values, indeed.

Now it comes out that this holier-than-noone hypocrite has disowned his gay sister, just to make the hypocrisy even more rank. Because those lesbians are immoral people, you know. Not like fine upstanding men like Fossella. What a piece of shit.

Comments

No doubt he'll come out and say he was: " promoting family values, twice! If it was good enough for OT figures - well who is he to do otherwise?" Or some such.
Lying sack of fetid coyote droppings indeed! -DJ

He simply has *two* family values, and counting...

LOL.

Minus the disowning of his sister, that puts him back at one ;)

Cue Faux News,

"Liberals clapped when Edwards spoke of Two Americas, now that a Republican is Living in both of them, they say it's dishonest. More people who hate freedom after the break."

This is typical with that crowd. They want to keep their behavior hidden, because if people don't see it, it doesn't exist. Probably works the same with gay family members - if the family doesn't acknowledge their existence, then they don't exist, and there is no problem. This is just cognitive dissonance writ on the real world.
