Rachael Ray IS a Terrorist!

Posted on: May 29, 2008 11:57 AM, by Ed Brayton

And the proof was emailed to me this morning by Jeff Hebert. The fact that he's a graphic artist may or may not influence your conclusion on whether it's authentic:

Michelle Malkin (one of the people who complained) is an idiot. Over on my blog, I've proposed a game called "Six Degrees of Al-Qaeda". We can use Racheal Ray as an example.

1. Rachael Ray wore a black and white scarf in a Dunkin Donuts ad.
2. Some people in Palestine wear black and white scarves too.
3. Some of those people may be terrorists.
4. Some terrorists belong to Al-Qaeda.

So there you have it, we link Rachael Ray to Al-Qaeda in four steps. Now it's time to send her to Guantanamo, but not before she does another spread for FHM.

Rachael Ray should indeed be punished for wearing that scarf, if only because it doesn't look nearly as hot on her as her other outfits. (And I'll be happy to give her the spanking she deserves. Because it has to be done, of course -- believe me, it'll "hurt" me more than it "hurts" her...)

There are units in the British army that have a long history of wearing the keffiya, if only for practical reasons of keeping the sand and dust out of your mouth and nose when serving in a hot dusty country.

One can only assume Malkin thinks the British Army supports Palistinean terrorism. I just wish she would let them know she thinks that to their faces.

I'm boycotting Dunkin Donuts...oh wait...that's for weight loss and health purposes...not because of terrorists. Sorry!

As the conservatives see their political power base slipping away to Democratic rule, the right wing crazies will get shrill with the same scare mongering crapola that worked so well in the past.
Terrorists out to kill you at every turn!
Liberals running amuck spending all your money!
Brown skinned people pouring over the borders and taking your job!
Gun wielding teenagers shooting your children because those evil Atheists removed Christian religion from school.
Dogs and cats sleeping together!
It's going to get ugly.

TomJoe, perhaps you can play that same game with the Klan hood? Or the swastika?

Wow, this post definitely sets the all-time blog record for "Rachael Ray is Hot" comments (yeah, 2; 1 might have done it too). That FHM spread was bizarrely alluring, though, much as it pains me to admit.

QUICK! pray to Jesus and he will save you!

Advertising a donut shop. Wouldn't that make Rachel Ray a cop?

I've got to agree with Malkin here. That scarf is atrocious. It makes her look like a hag.

Girl, you need to stop shopping at TJ Maxx and get youself some style.

Oh, snap.

I dunno, I think everyone is being too hard on Malkin. It's not that unreasonable to believe that Dunkin' Donuts was sending a secret pro-terror message with their ad. After all, prior to becoming dictator of Iraq (aka Al Qaedastan) and chief architect of 9/11, Saddam Hussein did work as Dunkin' Donuts' official spokes person (along with one of his innumerable doubles, apparently).

Whenever you see one of these manufactured controversies ask yourself, "who benefits?" Follow the money. Think for just a moment and the answer will be obvious, Krispy Kreme. They have the most to gain from maligning Dunkin' Donuts.

So now the questions are, "who's involved and why now?" Well it's no secret that, Krispy Kreme has been struggling financially in recent years. What is less known is the acting CEO is none other than Stephen Cooper, who you may remember as the man who took the reigns at Enron after that whole scandal. Along with his cohort, Steven Panagos, he's charged with turning the company around and making it profitable again.

To do this Stephen and Steven have focused largely on the fast growing Middle-Eastern market. Not only have they been opening new shops in Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, but the single largest stock holder of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Inc. is now M A Kharafi Group, a Mid-Eastern investment firm. They've dealt with Yassin al-Qadi who was a long-time financial point man for the Osama bin-Laden. In its report for the US Defense Department, the Federal Research Division confirms Kharafi Group's built the Chateau Linza Hotel, which was a "location where bin Laden reportedly met with Islamic groups."

Put all this together and I think you'll see that it is in fact Krispy Kreme that is supporting terrorism. But by shifting the blame to their competitor they reap many benefits. First of course is the financial boon from a few patriotic, though ill-informed, American customers forsaking DD but still looking for that morning sugar rush. More importantly though, the issue of a doughnut shop supporting terrorism is now a laughable absurdity in most people's minds. So when the inevitable rumors of their connection to bin Laden surface many people are likely to shrug it off. Don't fall for it. Be aware. Be informed. Be vigilant. Shop Dunkin' Donuts.

(Note: Please pass this on. All the facts I've presented are true and verifiable.)

It is now clear. No US company may show in an ad:
- a muslim-american woman wearing a scarf (or anyone wearing a scarf)
- a sikh-american wearing a turban
- a jew wearing a yarmulke.

any such advertisement featuring minorities in their ethnic or religious garb will be censored by the Wingnut Police.

17

So my town drove out terrorism by closing down the only Krispy Kreme around. There's a Dunkin Donuts on nearly every corner-let freedom abound!

Thanks Abby Normal for the clarification!

Hahahaha...Sadly, No! has a picture of Malkin with a Keffiya!
http://www.sadlyno.com/archives/9602.html

Hey Ms.Stupid, have you ever looked at pictures of US soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan? We wore sandy keffiyas quite often because they work really well in that environment, not because we were terrorists or trying to look like them.

This story irritates me to no end. I sent a letter to Dunkin' Donuts asking them to stop kowtowing to these ignorant bigots. I sincerely doubt that they will do anything about it, but taking down the ad basically says that it's ok to be an ignorant bigot. Ugh, this is so completely irritating.

Personally I've been boycotting Dunkin' Donuts for years. But that's because their doughnuts are terrible. Ugh.

Also, I'm personally offended by the spelling "donuts."

(Uh, that was a joke, in case anyone doubted. I mean, the spelling comment, not the comment on their doughnuts. They really *are* terrible.)

It's hard to tell, but that looks like a paisley scarf with a long white fringe. Not that Islamic.

Michael Vale (nee Mohammed RPGIEDsuicidebomber Hussein) did over 1300 commercials in a 15 year span with Dunkin Donuts--subtly infecting the minds of a sugarrushbenumbed MerKKKin citizenry with his nefarious nefariousness. Rachel Ray is really his daughter, the love child of his liaison with Erma Bundt-Cake of James BeardBond fame.

Imam Vale, btw, died from complications of his diabetes.

At least one of these "facts" is true.

democommie: your use of the feminine "nee" in reference to a male is incorrect -- it should have been "ne." Are you trying to insult him or something? :-)

That's the Palestinian Flag in the background. It should be the Israeli Flag! The Israeli's are committing terrorist acts against the Arabs, as I write this, and the United States condones them!

There was no Arab/Muslim terrorism until 1948, when the United Nations gave a huge chunk of Arab land to Zionist Jews, as consolation for the Holocaust. The Arabs had nothing to do with the Holocaust!

Then, in the Arab-Israeli Wars (1966-1967), the Israelis took all of Palestine from the Arabs, with the support of the United States.

Today, the United States is the Zionist State's primary supporter, giving it three billion dollars a year, as well as additional weapons. In fact, "Israel" is the only Middle-Eastern "nation" with nuclear capabilities--which it obviously got from the United States.

Palestine was governed by Arabs for over 1300 years, before it was conquered by the British, in 1918. Even under British occupation, the Arabs lived peaceably with Jews and Christians, as they had during the 1300 years before.

But when the British placed Palestine's fate in the hands of the United Nations, the former WWII Allied States voted to give it at least half of the land to Zionist Jews. The Arab nations all voted against this, but were outvoted. So the Zionist Jews moved in, in 1948, and displaced the Arabs, simply because they were "in the way".

The establishment and support of "Israel" is an ongoing atrocity against the Arab People, and Muslims, in general!
Thus it is an ongoing terrorist act, committed by the Israelis, and supported by the United States!

By the way, I'm not Arab or Muslim. So my Christian family wonders why I care about the Palestinian Arabs. And my answer is always the same: "Someone has to!"

Hello all ,
I dont think this thing is worth talking about, but the interesting thing that some people ust judge people without even knowing them,

palestinains , some of the posts here say that they are tirrorist, and I cant blame them ,, cuz they dont know much about Arab or muslims, but the thing im talking about is ,, if you want to jusge someone ,, just try to know / read / talk to him first , dont just say that your friend says , or your local TV station says.

no Yasser Arafat wasnt a tirrorist, if you think something else of him , can you ask your self where did you get that idea from ? TV ? local people who never ever talked to someone from the middle east ? so please people try to read more ,, I do the same too,, im trying to read and talk more to people from the west to knwo more ,, cuz i cant judge anyone ,, and its not my business to judge anyone ,

about Rachael weaing Kuffiyeh, she is free to do what ever she wants, the Kuffiyeh is a symbol for the Palestinain couse , the Palestinains case and tragedy , so if someone did something NOT write while he is wearing it that doesnt mean that its not a sybmol for freedom anymore ,, just take this example ,, If today i wear a Nike or an Adidas outfit and went killing people randomly , does that means that adidas is supporting what im doing ? of course not , does it mean that any one wears the same outfit is a killer too ? of course no ..

so one final sentence ,, please dont just people without knowing them , dont judt people just according on your TV shows info . \

thank you ,
Ahmad / Palestine
