Stephen Baldwin: Super Pundit

Posted on: June 30, 2008 9:09 AM, by Ed Brayton

How ridiculous do you have to be to put Stephen Baldwin on the air as a political pundit? About as stupid as Baldwin himself, I imagine. Fox News did it and the results are below the fold.

Just imagine how stupid you have to be to be the unanimous choice as the dumbest Baldwin brother.

Of course, the interviewer, Laura Ingraham is equally stupid, like most the Fascist News Channels' on air hosts, a Rethuglican shill.

Why should either side give one rat's ass what anyone from Hollywood has to say? OOOOHHHH, Carrot Top is against global warming--guess I am too!

Ed, you take up acting, I'm leaving this blog;-)

Don't you mean, the "most stupidest" Baldwin brother?

Posted by: Taz | June 30, 2008 10:13 AM

4

And here I thought he was acting in Biodome ... silly me.

Posted by: dogmeatib | June 30, 2008 10:43 AM

5

He should get together with Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron. I'm sure the result would be... interesting.

A movie buff friend of mine divides to the Baldwin brothers into greater and lesser Baldwins. Stephen Baldwin is the least Baldwin.

7

You know what Baldwin should be a pundit? Adam Baldwin.

Posted by: nedlum | June 30, 2008 11:16 AM

That's dumb even by Faux's standards. I didn't think anyone took the Dumb Baldwin seriously. Well anyone but the folks on the Trinity Broadcasting Network.

Apparently Mr. Baldwin is not aware that both Bush and McCain are alien reptoid clones who share a gestalt intelligence. Thus, four years of McCain is indeed identical to four more of Bush.

Well, at least that's not as stupider as what he said.

I was at the gym last week while this was on. They have one of those setups where you have to use a radio to tune in to hear the audio, and I couldn't get the audio on my mp3 player tuned fast enough to hear it. I was hoping to get a clip of his full appearance on there, not just the past few minutes. From the text they put on the chiron, he was talking about, get this - "Celebrity Endorsements for Presidents". The gist seemed to be that the rethuglicans are upset that so many pretty, talented, and high-powered hollywood people were endorsing Obama, and they were trying to do this piece to downlplay the entire idea of celebrity endorsements. So, in true klutz fashion, they did two things - first, they made sure to mention some people who were endorsing McCain (Sly Stallone? Why?). Second, of course, they picked THIS guy to be the commentator. I'm sure this was far from the only gem of conversation in the piece... which is why I'm so bummed that only this part seemed to have survived.

Well, it seems I should have done a more thorough search:

Full clip and transcript

(For more laughs, this is from "Newsbusters.org", dedicated to "Combatting liberal bias in the media". laughing yet? Note that the last line in the article about Stephen Baldwin says that, about stephen, it's 'refreshing' to find a 'Hollywoodan not drinking the Kool-Aid'. Orwell would be proud.)

Ha, thanks for the link, Vic. Thats hilarious, they're going on and on about why should middle America care what a bunch of Hollywood celebrities think about politics, while talking to a celebrity. Gotta love the Fox News, it could almost be a parody of itself.

For some reason, every time I read the title of the post, I hear it said in the exact same tone and style of "Wile E. Coyote, SOOOOOOOOPER genius...."

In the "Newsbusters" transcript, Baldwin is quoted as saying "most stupid," when, watching the video, he clearly says "most stupidest."

The commenters at that Newsbusters site are a hoot.

Love it or leave it. June 28, 2008 - 10:18 ET by Marine Grunt

At least one of the Baldwin's has a brain. If those hollyweird nuts want to leave, please do so. Why not leave all our money here too. The money they earned from us dummies in "flyover" country.

Stephen Baldwin is proof that liberalism is not inherited
June 26, 2008 - 14:04 ET by c5then

It's a shame that Hollywood is so childish, but Stephen doesn't get hardly any good parts because he is a well known conservative and is not afraid to show it. Hollywood hates that and attempts to "black-ball" all who dare stand up to their liberal ideas.

You go Stephen! God Bless You!

McCarthyism Is Alive and Well in Hollyweird
June 26, 2008 - 14:27 ET by PSPCpl

Stephen is a classic example of what happens to actors in Hollyweird when you are an unabashed Conservative and Republican. It takes my breath away when I hear Timmy and Suzie complain (at length, loudly, and often) about the McCarthy-like tactics used by the Bushies and their freinds in the MSM to muzzle anyone who opposes the Bushies. If it were true, how would they be able to unload whenever they feel the need to do so?

Hollyweird punishes those who deviate from the Party Line and makes no bones about it. Susie, Timmie, and their ilk see to it that it happens. All I want to do is shoot my TV when I see them railing against people who disagree with their point of view and accuse them of McCarthyism. How can anyone that stupid still breath?

So, let me get this straight...The fact that Stephen Baldwin's career tanked is because of a liberal conspiracy? And they accuse Hollywood of MacCarthyism. Unbelievable.

Well, sabrina, to be fair to FauxNews, I think Stephen Baldwin's 'celebrity' is more than a little past its expiration date... as in "chunky milk" past.

That and a thorough lack of talent.

If you watch the entire interview, it is clear he is kidding and he even predicted the press would go crazy with it. Looks like her is smarter than you think, because you crazy liberal idiots have done exactly what he predicted.

Nobody here has commented on the little joke he made about leaving the country. Maybe you need to improve your reading comprehension skills. What's funny is the fact that his entire commentary was pointless and shallow.

Posted by: Taz | July 1, 2008 1:56 PM

And he said he'd leave the country if Obama is "nominated." Not "elected" but "nominated." He also said this while making sure we saw he had his fingers crossed.

Wes:

You've got to understand, these people are, in the immortal words of Lewis Black, "stone-cold fuck nuts." They see liberal conspiracies everywhere. It helps them cover up their own inadequacies. In fact, the whole "liberal media" meme exists solely to cover up for conservative failures and "work the refs", and some of them actually admit this.

This is from someone who has obviously never seen Bio-dome. The fact is that Baldwin's career was dead as a doorstop long before his conversion to religious right nutter.

I'm waiting with bated breath for the movie version of the xmas story with Comfort, Cameron, and Baldwin as the Three Wise Men. I understand the part of the Baby Jeebus will be played by a banana...

"...Stephen [Baldwin] doesn't get hardly any good parts...".
Stephen's fans, like the man himself, can (almost) speak English, how nice!
Try this moron: "Stephen hardly gets [or doesn't get] any good parts because he is a woeful actor who exhibits a complete lack of any ability to act, think, or speak clearly."
As Stephen would say "Ahh, much betterer". ☺ DJ
