Bush Does "Terrorist Fist Jab"

Category: Politics
Posted on: July 7, 2008 9:30 AM, by Ed Brayton

How will Fox News explain this?

And it gets worse. He learned the terrorist fist jab from his father:

Send them both to Guantanamo Bay!

are there dates to go along with those pics? To add to the delicious irony of it all?

Actually, W looks like he is thinking about sending that kid to GITMO.

"Maybe this kid is, uh, some sort of mentally handicapped. He doesn't even know how to shake hands."

Posted by: Chris Bell | July 7, 2008 10:04 AM

Chris,

Is that what the boy in the striped t-shirt is thinking?

Posted by: Matt | July 7, 2008 10:11 AM

What are the green wrist bands for?

"Wonder Twin powers, activate." Shape of an ass (Bush). Form of an ice dagger (kid).

Chris...

"Maybe this kid is, uh, some sort of mentally handicapped. He doesn't even know how to shake hands."

I think you have it backwards, the kid is likely the one thinking that. ;o)

Why would Fox bother explaining anything that they can ignore?

Posted by: democommie | July 7, 2008 10:37 AM

And it gets worse. He learned the terrorist fist jab from his father:

So, you are saying that this is George Jr. on the left? Before the operation?

Posted by: Greg Laden | July 7, 2008 10:39 AM

Geez, even Bush now?

I thought it was bad when we found out that Chuck E. Cheese was a ter'ist.

Please note the kid has his fist in the thumb down position. This generally indicates disapproval of the other person. I wonder if the kid was aware of the signal he was giving and moreover, if that is the source of his apparent glee. :D

I'm reminded of the soldier who, while shaking hands with Hillary Clinton in a photo op a couple years ago, crossed his fingers with his other hand thereby indicating he was acting under duress.

Rev. AJB, the following causes use green awareness bracelets:
Bone Marrow
Childhood Depression
Depression Awareness
Environment
Eye Injury
Folic Acid Awareness
Celiac Disease (Light Green)
Glaucoma Awareness
Kidney Cancer
Kidney Disease
Kidney Transplant
Leukemia Awareness
Lyme Disease
Mental Retardation
Mitochondrial Disease
Organ Donor
Tissue Donor
Worker Safety

My money is on the fifth one from the bottom. ;-)

This is just ridiculous and beneath you, Ed. Clearly Bush and the kid are merely displaying their green bracelets for the camera by statically holding their fists together, not doing the TERRORFIST JAB, a distinct and deliberate movement learned in Indonesian madrassas. And as for Bush senior, he and the woman are clinking frosty mugs of invisible rootbeer. Good wholesome fun!

Posted by: jpf | July 7, 2008 11:46 AM

Fox News will describe it as a Freedom Fighter Fist Jab because its the Commander in Chimp. ;)

Ed:

Who's the islamulobbist with Poppy? I know it ain't "Bar".

Good lord! Boxey from Battlestar Galactica hasn't aged a day!

Posted by: Grumpy | July 7, 2008 5:22 PM

OMG, terrorists have infiltrated the highest levels of our government!

Posted by: cato | July 7, 2008 5:56 PM

What are the odds the photo is doctored?

Posted by: Steve | July 8, 2008 12:23 AM

What are the odds the photo is doctored?

78:1 against on the top photo. 40:1 against for the bottom one. That's assuming you're referring to some kind of manipulation to make the photo look like it's depicting something it isn't, like putting Bush's head on another body. If you're including basic color correction or the like then all bets are off. ;-)

Posted by: Abby Normal | July 8, 2008 11:54 AM

No real fist jab... They are just showing off the bracelet together (probably something for the boyscout tornado thing), just a weird angle.

Still funny though.

Bottom photo I would think is definitely doctored, isn't that Anna Kournikova?
