My Netroots Nation Speech

Category: Politics
Posted on: July 21, 2008 9:02 AM, by Ed Brayton

My speech at Netroots Nation is already available online. I'll embed it below the fold. I'm first up, but there are two speeches following mine. You can also view it here. Unfortunately, they don't show the powerpoint slides at the beginning. You can't see the vaguely dirty inkblots or the inevitably picture of Chuck Norris. If anyone is able to grab the video and edit it down to just mine so I could post it, I'd appreciate it.

The slides were visible, but the sound was really uneven. Some parts of it got really quiet for some reason.

Good talk, nonetheless. I especially laughed at the part about Dembski fondling himself while imagining Darwinists being compelled to testify about evolution.

I enjoyed the talk, even if I had read most of it through your posts here. The one thing that was really new (I think) was the Crackpot Index applied to IDiots -- 450 or so. I've seen the index referenced before, not sure if it was here or on another scienceblog (more than likely on PZ's if it wasn't here), but don't remember seeing a score (or what it means). Good job on the speech.
