Hannity's Misleadership Skills

Posted on: December 26, 2008 9:23 AM, by Ed Brayton

Media Matters has named Sean Hannity as 2008's misinformer of the year. There's a long list of examples of his rank dishonesty in the service of political ends.

By the way, I've got the perfect replacement for Alan Colmes: Hannity should just use a ventriloquist's dummy (that's all Colmes was most of the time anyway).

Hannity: "I'm Sean Hannity and this is my new co-host, Mr. Liberal Pansy. Say hello to the audience, Mr. Liberal Pansy."

Mr. Liberal Pansy, in a high pitched falsetto: "Hi audience!"

I think they should get the Scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz.
They could call the show Hannity & Strawman

I still can't fathom how Colmes could sit there all those years and have Hannity and guest address him and other guests as "you liberals."

I like how Hannity's "liberal" hate can overlay other traditional hate - like when he brought on rabid racist Andy Martin to attack Obama. I guess if Martin hosted the show he'd keep addressing people as "you Jews".

Hannity's ideal co-host should be an attendant responsible for cleaning up fantasy booths at adult peep shows because God knows that Sean's side of the "H&C" broadcast couldn't possibly get more masturbatory than it already is.

Sean Hannity is a thug, a propagandist, a demagogue, and an all-aound piece of sleaze. On the upside, Fox just became a more honest organization, because they've abandoned all pretense of "balance".

Even before I knew about his associations with people like Hal Turner, I had always been of the opinion that Hannity was one of the stupidest of the right-wing punditocracy. I guess I underestimated him some; it takes brains to be a good propagandist, after all.
