Birther on Birther Crime

Posted on: July 17, 2009 10:02 AM, by Ed Brayton

A reader emailed me a link to Philip Berg's website, obamacrimes.info. Berg was the first lawyer in on the birther bullshit and it seems he's not at all happy with Orly Taitz, the second lawyer in on it. In June, Berg filed suit against Taitz and issued quite a rant against her on his website. Since he doesn't bother to create separate pages, you'll have to just scroll down to find what I'm talking about. Here's his rant against her:

(Lafayette Hill, PA - 06/09/2009) - Philip J. Berg, Esquire, the first Attorney who filed suit against Barack H. Obama challenging Senator Obama's lack of Constitutional "qualifications/eligibility" to serve as President of the United States and his cases that are still pending, Berg vs. Obama [2 cases - 1 under seal] and Hollister vs. Soetoro a/k/a Obama, et al announced today that he had filed a lawsuit against Orly Taitz for her unprofessional and unlawful tactics by disseminating birth dates and Social Security Numbers and other vicious lies to harm innocent people.

Berg said, "Orly Taitz, Esquire must be disbarred ! Orly has been grabbing the headlines, but doing disservice to the millions who want Obama to prove he is constitutionally eligible/qualified to be President of the United States.

Presently Orly has only one [1] case pending and in my opinion, not very strong and definitely not on point. On the other hand, I [Berg] have three [3] lawsuits pending, all in Federal Court, two [2] in the Appellate Courts [Third Circuit - argument was scheduled end of May 2009, but now the earliest it will be heard is September or October of 2009 on the issue of 'standing'; the other in the District of Columbia Court of Appeals (Hollister case)]. The 3rd case is 'under seal.'"

Berg continued, "Orly has gone too far by e-mailing the Social Security number of my assistant, Lisa. By doing so, with the help of Neil Sankey, Sankey Investigating, Inc. and the Sankey Firm, Orly has violated State [California] and Federal laws and has admitted to the mass e-mailing distribution to tens of thousands of individuals. After suit was filed against Orly and other Defendants, Orly's Answer was due May 26, 2009, however, it was not filed. I requested Default to be entered against Orly and other Defendants for their failure to Answer the Complaint. The Court entered the Default on May 27, 2009."

Berg stated, "On or about May 28, 2009, Orly faxed a one [1] page Motion to Set Aside the Default entered on May 27, 2009 against her and Defend our Freedoms Foundation, Inc. I, Berg, filed our Response in Opposition to Orly's Request to Set Aside the Default on June 8th and can be found on my website at obamacrimes.com.

Neil Sankey appeared on Plains Radio Network on May 28, 2009 with a made up story that Lisa Ostella sent him emails and asked him to investigate my assistant, Lisa and me. This was a completely fabricated story. Neil Sankey and Orly conspired and not only altered emails sent from Lisa Ostella, they created emails using Lisa Ostella's email address, which Lisa Ostella did not have any knowledge of, never gave any permission for anyone to use her email address, never gave authorization to draft emails on her behalf, she never drafted the emails nor did she send them. In so doing, Neil Sankey and Orly altered and forged documents (emails) of Lisa Ostella. On May 31, 2009, Orly posted the altered and forged emails on her website with a statement that Lisa Ostella sent them to Neil Sankey, knowing the information to be completely false."

Berg continued, "We are fighting to uphold our Constitution and the laws of our Nation. Neil Sankey and Orly are not helping our cause by degrading those working so hard to learn the truth and breaking the very laws we are desperately trying to uphold."

The loonies are so cute when they ball up their little fists and get all red in the face, aren't they?

Reminds me of the 9-11 "truth" crowd, they would do this a lot.

Re TK Kun

If Mr. Kun is not already aware of this, he should be informed that Philip Berg is also a troofer.

Orly? Rly? LOLZ.

Posted by: Dunc | July 17, 2009 10:45 AM

Translation Google: " the aèroports of Orly " (Paris. France)!
Too indeed the translator!

Berg is mildly amusing crazy. Orly Taitz is batshit crazy to a level not seen before. Both should be disbarred. At least Taitz has a another skill to fall back on.

Paranoid, delusional people are turning on each other? Who would of thought.

Posted by: Taz | July 17, 2009 11:16 AM

7

I assume that if we cared enough to sort out all these allegations, and (no doubt) Taitz' counter-allegations, we'd find that they are all as lunatic as the original birther stuff. And they say consistency is a virtue.

In a fight between two birthers, there can be only one winner: the spectators.

Posted by: James F | July 17, 2009 12:23 PM

9

Berg continued, "We are fighting to uphold our Constitution and the laws of our Nation..."

Um, no, it looks like Berg is fighting to keep himself in the only "leadership" role of "his" movement. Either that, or he's starting to realize how ridiculous his cause looks, and is now looking for someone else to blame for it.

Posted by: Raging Bee | July 17, 2009 12:30 PM

10

I'd say it's almost certainly the former of your possibilities, Raging Bee. (Although setting it up so that he gets the credit for anything good while she gets the blame for whatever goes wrong might be his intention too.)

Posted by: chancelikely | July 17, 2009 12:58 PM

11

Yoshi, neither had done anything as far as I can tell that merits disbarment. Being crazy isn't a valid reason to be disbarred. This is a good thing; if some vague sanity test allowed disbarment you could run into problems similar to the classic Soviet tendency of diagnosing political dissidents as insane.

Oh boo hoo! A little ranting to satisfy you far left morons!
I just wish you idealogic jerks would move to a established "Socialist" environment and play your word games there and see how long it took to send your sorry ass's to a nice warm jail. There is a village in KENYA that is missing it's IDIOT! Can you guess who? None of you have the Cohones to question the concept that Obama is an outright liar! Your just a bunch of "sheepople!"

Have fun at the slaughter!

16

GaryB
William lee is indeed a blithering idiot. The capitalization alone gives it away but the morons keep changing names (or maybe have split personalities) so it is difficult to claim residency.

I suspect poor Mr Lee is trying to reference the village idiot stuff that passed around the t-shirt vendors during the Bush debacle. Example: "There's a village in Texas missing it's idiot." Poor imitation but normal for the imagination challenged. Enjoy the entertainment. We serve popcorn if a few more show up.

Posted by: MikeMa | July 17, 2009 2:45 PM

17

GaryB stated:

Is William Lee the resident blithering idiot?

William Lee is not a regular here. Our blithering idiots actually make arguments rather than focusing exclusively on assigning their own character deficiencies unto others like Mr. Lee does.

It's always nice to see more confirmation that conservatives can't help but project, so thanks for that Mr. Lee. Mr. Lee's little diatribe has me believing he has no idea what projectionism even is, but at least we're entertained.

How many of you "Gay Caballeros" are in your club anyway? I don't know who spawned all of you, however they would have been smart to exercise the abortion process, that was probably attempted, however you unfortunately survived!

Also, where does one buy a nice suedo jacket? I'd like a brown one to wear when I use my idealogic to solve mysteries.

Well Ms. "Budbear", "Mikema", "Blaidd Drwg" (that's a good one!)and my favorite, "Askyroth" or is that "ass-key-router?" I'll bet for sure you would like to know where to get those little toy's that you like! Maybe your girlfriends will let you in on their little secrets. This is a game called "FISH ON!" Tag, your it! Collectively, I don't believe any of you girls could find your ass, behind your back in a dark closet with a flashlight. However it appears that is your sport, so enjoy! As always, TA TA!

Posted by: Shay | July 17, 2009 7:13 PM

Shay,
Not only are the loons taking swipes at each other but the birthers are in a continuous state of near rapture as yet another court prepares to dismiss the latest foolishness. Insanely hopeful just about covers the lot of them.

The judge threw out Taitz' latest comedy routine, the Cook case. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall in that judge's chambers. I tried reading the complaint. It's a piece of junk.

Posted by: wheatdogg | July 17, 2009 8:51 PM

38

Give william a break. in his rambling pointless posts he's managed to do some things quite well:

- display all the evidence the birthers have that our current president is not a citizen

- show the best of their ability to stay on point

- show that if command of english were the only requirement of citizenship they'd be
unable to seek higher office

Posted by: dean | July 17, 2009 9:06 PM

Whenever I read bout birfer lawsuits (9/11 twoofers are also good for top-notch legaltainment) I get a delightful mental image:

A judge, in his office, paging frantically through a thesaurus and yelling to his secretary to send out for some crossword-puzzle dictionaries because he's got to find an acceptable way to say "batshit crazy" in an opinion.

I think we all know there's only one way to solve this: Birther Chainsaw Deathmatch.
We could let each of them bring 20 of their most rabid fans, give them all chainsaws, and lock them in a steel cage.
It's worth a shot. Some of them seem crazy enough to actually agree to and go through with it.

Posted by: JThompson | July 18, 2009 1:19 AM

Ah, come on, did nobody else notice that William lee called us "girls" as a pejorative? Not only is he an illiterate moron, but he's a sexist too. Quelle surprise.

William lee, if you're still around, "pejorative" means "an insult meant to imply contempt".

I'm guessing you understand about one word in ten of my post, so here's a clue: "moron" is a pejorative.

p.s. This asshole's name is too similar to mine. And I'm an (old) girl. I'm offended.

@MikeMa:

Are you old enough to remember Harry Nilsson's "The Point?" There's a line in there about seeing what you want to see and hearing what you want to hear. I read Taitz's statement after the Cook case was tossed and it's as loopy an example wishful thinking as you'll find anywhere.

(I myself was an IMA, back in the 90's, and there are some things you just don't do and expect to have any kind of military career. Soon to be ex-Major Cook will be able to salvage his pension out of this self-inflicted wound but that's about all, the asswipe).

Posted by: Shay | July 18, 2009 11:03 AM

47

Shay,
I know the song and it describes a lot of fanaticism very well. I suspect that, in spite of protests to the contrary, ex-Maj. Cook planned to be in this position when he 'volunteered'.

Posted by: Casey | July 18, 2009 1:03 PM

50

@MikeMa:

I don't think anyone at CENTCOM has any doubt that is exactly what happened.

February -- he adds his name to Taitz' inane lawsuit.
May -- he volunteers for a specific IMA billet with a deploying unit.
July -- he suddenly discovers that his conscience won't let him go. When he could have asked for his orders be rescinded at any time, he waits until three days before the unit is scheduled to leave to spring his surprise.

I apologise if I'm explaining something everybody already knows, but IMA (Individual Mobilization Augmentee) billets are open slots in a unit's Table of Organization that aren't necessarily needed stateside, but are considered mission-critical for deployment. Somewhere there's a poor schmoe who had less than seventy-two hours notice to pack his/her trash and head out to replace Cook. That's a hell of a trick to play on another soldier.

Posted by: Shay | July 18, 2009 9:46 PM

51

If the facts alleged about Orly Taitz's "enlisting" of Major Cook in February and his volunteering in May and then filing suit later, are true: then that's pretty much what the feds sent class action king Mel Weiss to prison for [in addition to disbarment]. Start the proceedings now!

If only there were a way to get Jack Thompson involved! That would be EPIC.

On topic: one side of the wingnut billboard between Olympia WA and Portalnd along I-5 currently displays "where's the birth certificate?"

The otherside displays "I'll take God, Gold and Guns, keep the change."

Of course the area where this billboard sits is total conservative batshit 'tard country.
