Dumbass Quote of the Day

Posted on: December 22, 2009 9:16 AM, by Ed Brayton

From our buddy Pat, still trying to strike that badass macho man pose on the internet while pointing out that he moderates his comments:

Bunch of hateful ass mother fuckers think I'm gonna let you come into my domain and insult me? Shit, ya'll don't know me that fucking well. You wouldn't come into my house and talk that sort of shit, so, why do it on MY site? If you did come into my house and talk that kinda shit, I'd fucking 9mm every damned last one of your asses. 'Cause I don't play that shit.

You go, homey.

Would 9mm be the length or the girth?

Pat need not fear that anyone will insult him in his own house.

His mother's house, on the other hand...

I wonder if he kisses his momma with that mouth...right before he heads down to the basement for a day of slaving away at the controls of a poseur dozer.

4

He's not going for the intellectual impression, is he?

Posted by: Rob Ryan | December 22, 2009 9:38 AM

5

The problem is not the people in his house (or in his site).
It's the people in his head.

Posted by: diegopig | December 22, 2009 9:45 AM

6

Actually Pat, I came by your house the other day just to insult you with all that shit but your mom said I couldn't come in because it was your nappy-bye time.

Moms betta come correct wit my spaghettios otha wise I might have to put a cap in that ho. Always trippin', tellin me I'm old enough now to make them myself.

Wonder if Pat's brave enough to back up his shite mano a mano?

It's easy to be brave when you're holding a firearm, Patsy...especially when it's a virtual firearm from safety of his mom's basement via the internet.

Wow...he really is brave.

Both.

Eww, it's square?

And FWIW, I would go to his house and say that shit, but I have something more interesting to do that day, like breathe, or something.

Would he let us use his bathroom?

Posted by: kehrsam | December 22, 2009 10:42 AM

And here I was thinking Pat was "white and proud".

I don't think it has anything to do with bravery. Either option is bad. If he really would shoot someone for insulting him, he's a psychotic who should be locked up. And if not, he's a pathetic poser trying to look macho on the internet.

Whoa, watch out! Pat's turned gangsta on our asses!

You see this kind of 'e-thugging' a lot in video game forums. Funny to see it in the blogosphere, although not really that surprising I guess. Gamers have made a lot of amusing pictures for e-thuggers. i.e.

Herbert? Herbert Kornfeld? is that you?

I says, "I ain't gonna be bringing in no motherfuckin' treat, motherfucker. Treats is for old ladies in the nursing home and shit. And ain't nobody gonna be layin' they smiley-face bullshit on my dope fly desk. I gots everything where I want it, and ain't no little ho gonna be fuckin' it all up. So take yo' bitch-ass, bow-tie self and get the fuck out of my cubicle before I cut you, beee-yaatch!"

After that, Myron walk out of there wit' his li'l dick between his legs. Ain't no Accounts Payable supervisor motherfucka gonna tell Herbert Kornfeld what to do. And no one else, for that matter. You put shit on my desk, you just signed your death warrant. I mean it. Heads will get flown.

Yup, that's him alright. And to think I never believed the people in The Onion were real.

Nice Freudian slip, Pat. Although it's pretty obvious from your behavior that even "nine millimeters" is padding the figure quite a bit.

Looks like the big boy has pulled the thread...or maybe I just can't view it anymore thanks to my comments.

It's funny that a man who considers criticism a violation of his 1st amendment rights claims he would murder people for "talking shit" in his house.

Posted by: penn | December 22, 2009 12:22 PM

21

We are literally dealing with a person who is threatening murderous violence against people who disagree with his political ideas.

Unstable. Scary. Typical Right-Winger.

Posted by: DuggleBogey | December 22, 2009 12:41 PM

22

DuggleBogey - You're labouring under the mistaken belief that Pat actually has the courage of his convictions.
Pat's mum wouldn't even let him out of her basement, let alone put anything (9mm or otherwise) into anyone. There is only one word to describe Patty really, and that is 'pathetic' - DJ.

Idea:

People above a certain threshold score on Right-Wing Authoritarianism (which is a bit of a misnomer, as it occurs on both sides) should not be allowed to vote, as authoritarianism undermines progress.

Posted by: Katharine | December 22, 2009 1:34 PM

24

Please, no more Pat. I love the Dumbass Quote of the Day, but let's see some new crazies.

Posted by: William | December 22, 2009 1:37 PM

25

Ah yes, violence against those who dislike you. A time honored tradition.

Posted by: Rutee | December 22, 2009 1:59 PM

26

@Katharine: It would certainly be a good idea in terms of the future health and competence of this country, but its implementation would be antithetical to freedom and would be, ironically, authoritarian.

Actually, that sounds more cylindrical than square.

Of course, we could just be mistaking his navel, since he does seem to be quite the pussy...

I certainly wouldn't show up at Pat's house. Pat's mum would probably beat the shit outa me.

Pat's red neck is interfering with Santa's navigation system - so don't be surprised if you get nothing this christmas.

Posted by: MadScientist | December 22, 2009 3:16 PM

30

Is it just me, or is Pat's whole analogy flawed? He's posting his comments in public on a blog on the internet, so, to give a closer, but not quite 100% accurate analogy, it's more like he's posting his views on a billboard attached to the outside of his house and leaving a whiteboard at the bottom for anyone, including random strangers just passing by, to post their comments on his views, which he can then wipe off, if he so desires. However, threatening to do physical violence to someone because they wrote something on that whiteboard that he disagrees with merely shows that he can't really take criticism and/or is not entirely stable, mentally speaking.

Random: I think you mean hemispherical.

Posted by: Mike Crichton | December 22, 2009 6:21 PM

To be entirely fair to Pat, it's not possible to put a 9mm bullet through a comment. So comments are much scarier than people.

You do know the only people who would vote for that would be right-wing authoritarians. And, frighteningly, they would vote for that.

Pat really hasn't got the whole "peace in the world and goodwill to all men" thing has he? :) - DJ

Don't you know the Republicans hate white people who try to act straight-up gangsta?

Unless you're a hardcore, OG Dixiecrat.

MO: not that it would ever happen since he's a talker and not a doer...but even though I haven't picked up a sidearm since I left active duty, I'm willing to bet several years' worth of shooting badges that I'd get him first.

What's wrong Pat? Don't even have the sense of manliness to do that with your bare hands?
