Science Bloggers as Professional Wrestlers

Posted on: March 13, 2010 9:09 AM, by Ed Brayton

This is great. A web comic called Ataraxia Theatre has turned me and many of the other Science Bloggers into professional wrestlers. He has me and PZ pitted against one another in a fight over who has the best beard. But since I'm only sporting a goatee these days, I'm afraid I'm gonna have to concede that one to PZ. And then I'll have to give him the old steel chair to the head.

Cuz whatcha gonna do, brother, when you get an Ed upside your head?

Absolutely hilarious!

I'm already imagining a similar cartoon where Ed takes on the clueless dolts like Pat, members of the Texas BOE, etc. :)

Regarding the BOE, here's an excellent blog entry from the Guardian UK.

Nice tats.

No kidding. I love that cartoon wrestler Ed is depicted as having "FREEDOM" in huge letters across his back. Wonderful-- you should go for that, Ed!

The day you find me getting a tattoo is the day you see pigs flying, hell freezing over and every other metaphorical illustration of "not a fucking chance."

Any chance that Ed might take on Ann Coulter in the ring? Maybe a tag team. Ann and Hannity against Ed and one of the ladies of the view.

You mean other than your "Michele Bachmann 4ever" tramp stamp with the roses and filigree? Yeah, that one will be hard to top.

Right next to Ed Young, center-left :P

I can't believe they didn't give Orac a speaking role, though...
