If I can get one last plug in. I was going reboot this post on Bryan Fischer’s confusion. But I’ll just summarize the link. It shows how the followers of David Barton mangle history worse than Barton does, that indeed he gives winks and nods to these kinds of errors. Barton, for instance, unlike Fischer, is well aware (at least now he is) that J. Adams is a unitarian but has no idea what to do with it. He gives folks like Fischer the impression that “there is hardly a stitch of difference between the theology of” the Founders, including J. Adams “and contemporary conservative evangelicals.”
