DonorsChoose Challenge

DonorsChoose is a nonprofit organization that funds public school education via a unique model wherein educators submit proposals detailing the projects they'd like to accomplish and the funding and resources needed. Contributors then pledge donations to the project(s) of their choice.

Last year, the ScienceBlogs community raised over $30,000 for DonorsChoose, which included $10,000 in matching funds from Seed Media Group. This year, Seed Media Group is pleased to announce a commitment to match up to $15,000 in donations for DonorsChoose, as part of our newly announced Seed Media Group Science Literacy Grants program.

Many of the bloggers have started their own DonorsChoose challenges. Keep an eye on the bloggers' progress, read up on fundable projects, and find one to pitch in to, at the ScienceBlogs Leaderboard at DonorsChoose.

So go on -- donate to DonorsChoose, help increase science literacy and win some great prizes while you're at it.
