Nigeria comes to Baghdad

Is Nigeria a member of the Coalition of the Willing? It appears to be, on the basis of this evidence. For background, let's go back to a BBC story on April 30, 2003:

Foreign currency worth nearly $200m has been found in a Baghdad neighbourhood, the US military say.

Troops found $100m and 90m euros in 31 containers, US Central Command said.

The money has been flown out of the country to a "secure location" for counting purposes and will eventually be returned to Iraq to help rebuild the country, the US said.

Last week, US troops found more than $650m in the same area of Baghdad.

The latest banknotes were discovered between 23 and 26 April in an area of Baghdad secured by members of the US 3rd Infantry Division, according to a US statement. (BBC)

I got the BBC link from a colleague who received in his InBox the following variant on The Nigerian Scam. It's sadly hilarious:

I received this on 5 April, 2009. and was suckered in. Steve changed his fighting group. His accomplices are Alex Cooke, Dixie Cooke, (With or without the 'e' at the end.) Joe Harrison in New York, Luke John in New York, Douglas Cole in Houston, Texas, and I do not know how many more.
I have contacted my attorney to see if I have a recourse to retrieve some of my funds already sent to them.
I copied and pasted the email I received from Steve. I have the rest from Alex Cook (supposedly a diplomat), I can post for your edification if you want.

Received this same info today. No one is giving you nothing. There is always a price to pay when you get taken in. I just shake my head in disgust at these people who try to victimize innocent people. I get several of these emails daily, each worded differently, but they all narrow down to one thing and that is a SCAM. Always remember the word SCAM .. keep your money in your pocket.
