If you live in the US you know that the Fox News Network prides itself on being the Voice of the Fatherland, connotation intended. Fox and its sleazy news anchors are not only doggedly pro-Bush but doggedly Far Right and poorly concealed racists and nativists. I don’t watch it (I take my daily shower before watching TV, so it would be inefficient), but I see clips and often think to myself, “How can these people live with themselves?” Have they no self-respect, no shame? Fox news anchor Chris Wallace, at least, has answered that for us. He, at least, does have his limits and a sense of shame. Whether he’ll have a job much longer is another matter. Anyway, good on Chris Wallace. WTF took him so long? Here’s the clip, followed by a couple of others:

Fox News Fuhrer, Rupert Murdoch, is Australian. Here’s the take from Oz:

Public health? Here’s more Fox News:

I could go on and on. But why bother? If you just have to have more, however, go to microdot at Brain Police.

I recall a few years ago, a commenter on another blog found a help wanted ad for Fox news. They were looking for someone to “write facts” for their news broadcasts.

Just a suggestion that when embedding YouTube videos you might want to also include the direct link for those rather frequent occasions when the embed doesn’t work properly.

I agree completely with your post by the way.

I couldn’t watch the last clip more than a minute, it made me so angry I could spit nails. Question: I did a brief google search on rBGH and reporting. I couldn’t find any network coverage. Can that be? Fox is still the worst, but on this particular subject, they may have company. My search also turned up many instances of networks pulling programming so as not to upset corporate sponsors.
Free media indeed. It reminds me of a story about a visitor from the US to the former Soviet Union. In a discussion about freedom of speech with his Moscow guide, the US visitor crowed about news reporting in the US vs the censorship in the USSR. The resident told the visitor, “Here, we know we’re being lied to so we’ve learned how to read between the lines, in the US you’re lied to everyday, but you think it’s the truth.”

steve: Even if your player doesn’t work you can usually get all that info by clicking the Menu button which will bring up both an embed and the URL of the original.

tony: The regular networks are also very vulnerable to that kind of corporate influence. In that sense Fox isn’t always worse, it’s just that they are so blatant and unselfconscious about it.

Rupert Murdoch is an American now.

Did anyone else notice in the first clip at about the 5 min mark Chris states “We don’t all follow our talking points”

More evidence that Fox is a propaganda outfit and not a news channel.

Obama follows a preacher who spits forth hate speeches which no one can deny. Everyone can see for themselves how his “flock” are out of their seats and waiving their arms in enthusiastic support with his hate mongering. They are more than in agreement with what he is saying. No one is walking out and no white folks can be seen. Certainly white folks are not welcome and doubt they would be safe. You should pay close attention to his God damn America language. He is damning the people that make up America. He is not damning the Black Americans, he is damning the white Americans. AND HE DID NOT MAKE AN EXCEPTION FOR DEMOCRATS.

Contrary to the above, we have a mixed bag of races (including African Americans) in my church and we are conservative, mostly republicans. Most of us watch Fox News over the Clinton News Networks. My preacher does not spew out hate. Unlike Obamas church we would not allow it. Yet you would brand us as racists and bigots, but not Rev Wright and his followers?? You actually think someone can go to a church like that for 20 years and not agree with what is being said? You certainly must not be a believer! For if you were, you would understand your faith is what you build your life on and you most often socialize with those from your church. Yes, socializing with those folks standing and shouting in agreement with Rev Wright! Obama has particularly close relationship with Rev. Wright. Hate spewing preacher and hate loving congregation? And Obama not in agreement? Would you have such close ties to a republican who spewed hate? NO! People do not preach this to 8,000 people and have them cheer it on if it were not part of their everyday beliefs and discussions. If this were a Republican, you would be pounding him/her for it every day and rightfully so. But it is not a Republican, so he can do and say what he wants. Even if it is racist. After all, an African American cannot be a racist. Err, unless he is a black Republican.

Well, Fox is not the only totally biased network in the US.

The “fair and balanced” coverage of the news by the Fox team of “journalists” has now been totally trumped by “The Best Political Team on Television”.

The CNN’s best political team on the television is headed by Jack Cafferty, (he of permanently clenched buttocks) who has decided that Obama should be the next President of the USA.

Now Obama is a fine person and it may well be that he will be the new boss of the USA.

    Nothing wrong with that.

In fact many would think that there was every thing right with that.

Nor is it wrong for any individual to back his choice for the top American job and do what ever he can, to support the candidate of his choice.

The problem is the Jack Cafferty is introduced as an independent journalist and part of the “best political team on the TV” to the viewers.

That is pure and simple deception and cynically biased reporting from the best political team on Television.

Rod: No, I am not a believer. I am an atheist. Not relevant. You have watched Fox News all these years and claim you haven’t been infected by hate, so why not someone else making the same claim about his preacher? Preachers do preach hate in this country rather regularly. Rod Parsley, John Hagee, Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, etc., etc., on through the whole steaming pile of shit that preaches hate on a daily basis. If you have listened to any of those guys and not condemned them, you are no different than Obama, except he at least did condemn his own preacher. Whether your own preacher preaches hate I don’t know. You say not, but one person’s hate is another person’s Truth. And it certainly keeps marching on.

BFBN: I don’t care much for CNN, either, but I don’t think you have been much fooled by them. Your point? That everyone else has? Since I don’t watch Cafferty I can’t even guess what your beef is with him, but as far as I know he is a commentator, not a news journalist or sources of news. But maybe I’m wrong. Wolf Blitzer is a moron, it’s a wonder Chris Matthews can keep his head on the pillow at night he is such a lightweight, Dan Abrams sounds like a college sophomore. And while I like Keith Olberman, he is so biased I don’t use him as a source of news, just for the entertainment value of hearing somebody with the same political slant as mine. I’ve complained Matthews and Olberman here already.

If you watch Fox, CNN, MSNBC as your main source of news, you are woefully uninformed. If you comment here, you are on the internet. Use it wisely, judiciously and with intelligence and you’ll learn something. Listen only to your preacher, basic cable and the MSM and you’ll be like too many people. That’s not a compliment.

Not only Chris Wallace, but Fox and Friends co-anchor Brian Kilmeade had previously walked off the set after arguing with co-hosts Gretchen Carlson and Steve Doocy, with whom Wallace also argued.

Now for me, I watch them all. Get their takes on it and yes Fox is biased. I am a centrist and conservative and they pander to a crowd of fully disaffected people in the US. Its the crowd thats lost their jobs, its the crowd that has God on their shoulders as a chip. Its the crowd that would jam said God up your ass that it would have to be surgically removed.

Nice vids Revere, got any more?

Now lets cover the “typical white person” thing. Obama fucked up by even opening his mouth. My Granny is a typical white person.. Fuck off Obombme! Typical in what way?…That she sees a group of black people the street that might be packing (here they would be) and she steers clear of them. Well duh…That makes her a typical American as far as I am concerned. Smart too.

Black people here steer clear of crowds of black men simply because here they are generally up to no good. You see guys out there that aint playing basketball at 9 O’clock on a Saturday night milling around they more than likely are not talking politics. Its their big home invasion night. Thats not racism, thats a fact. Here the blacks will kill their own brothers and their brothers families (even the 6 month old) because they wont give them money for crack. See what happened here a week ago? But thats typical blacks behaving badly right? Bullshit. Thats some bastard of a guy deciding he can get away with anything. Did I mention he had only been out for 21 days for murder in the second? But thats typical black behavior? NO… Its not.

So if I am a typical white guy, that makes Obama an atypical almost black man. How can he pontificate about the Black American problem? He isnt black. He is assimilated. He is part of the American dream but ONLY if he doesnt denigrate HIMSELF by calling his granny white, his mother white and his father black.

But then again, fuck that skin color thing. I never look at it myself. I judge people on their deeds and speak. He is speaking racism as though he wears it on his sleeve. He lost a lot of support in the last three weeks and he is his own worst enemy. Keepeth thine damned mouth shut and if you have an agenda like Clinton, put it into effect after you are elected president. Else, you might as well forget being the New High Chief.

All I hear out of Obama is change, and going to fix this and that. Nothing of any substance. He wants UHC, but doesnt say how he is going to pay for it. He wants better education, but doesnt say how that will be paid for either. Drop a tax increase by income or consumption into this economy and we will have 7% unemployment in the first 9 months and then 10% for at least two years after. It will also deepen the recession.

Its time for everyone to quit calling these people BLACK AMERICANS. I am sorry but the worst thing as far as I am concerned we can do is continue to pander to any ethnic group. They are NOT BLACK AMERICANS. They are AMERICANS and they need to belly up to the bar and acknowledge that there are multinational, mutliracial people here. Wops, Jews, Niggers, Scandi’s, Nips, Chinks, Chucks, Afs, Spics, Chili Guts, Ozmanians, Frogs, Heinies, Ruskies, just to name a few. Its also time for the Americans of African descent to leave the Civil War behind and the crap that happened for 100 years after that where it is…and that is the past.

We have a race problem in America because we let them get away with it and thats all of those MSM’s and others. This includes the Reverends who wont tell their congregations that the law is there… use it. Tired of the MSM’s approach? I am. They all have emails. Pick up the mouse and start clicking and tell them that you will NO LONGER accept anyone referring to anyone as black or any of the colored names. Do they call Japanese Yellow Americans? Do they do the same to Chinese? NO! What the fuck is a Black Russian?

ONLY Black Americans are allowed to be called a color in the US. That is unless you are white. It allows the situation to be polarized and to perpetuate itself. How is this allowed to continue? If I was a person of color, would I be referred to as only being a white guy first? Blacks alway are. Am I a white American? Never came up before. Time for a shifting of gears and lets get to the goddamned issues which is and are the ones that are always here. The poor, education, employment, the military, and dead last in my book comes religion because I only want his religion in his or her heart. The only reason for that is because to be president you have to be one mean sonuvabitch to someone. To be a good one, you have to screw the far right AND the far left.

I take the dimmest view of racism that there is. But I am also very pragmatic. I dont think that someone should get a job because they are a color. That only perpetuates the skin color thing…The government by operation is racist and if you think not, fill out an application. It always says are you one of the following or by descent a certain percentage of _____. Then it lists off all of these affiliations like you are part of some ethnic club. In trying to be fair they perpetuate it.

These talking heads are just that and Geraldo Rivera is ethnic by desire. His name….Gerry Rivers. Give me a break, please!

    Yeah, Obama… thats the ticket.

Revere — “Fox News Fuhrer, Rupert Murdoch, is Australian…” Spurge — “Rupert Murdoch is an American now…”

Fascinating, I grew up in Europe being educated by a semi-independent system of tv channels like RTE, ITV, 4 and the BBCs. Then, as a teenager, I arrived in Oz and thought, “Gee, this is just like when I lived on Long Island back in 1980 — Oz is tres America!?!”

I’ve always considered nationalist Americans silly in the media-context that an Australian with an American passport runs Washington. Murdoch is an incredibly clever AmericanOzzie who understood early that Oz is an affluent American province. Indeed, on the whole, Oz is just like the Hamptons and Murdoch is the KING of agenda-setting culture. Oz is “Rome” in the Yank empire!?!

Stop discrimination within the AmericanOz Government

Did you know that if your same-sex partner is a
federal employee, you cannot receive federal benefits
and protections like health care, retirement, or group
    life insurance?

Does that seem fair? Heterosexual married couples
receive these benefits. And most major corporations
give benefits to committed same-sex domestic partners.

Ambassador Michael Guest, who is gay, quit the Foreign
Service because of the way his partner was treated by
the State Department. While they were stationed in
Romania, his partner couldn’t get the critical
security training given to the family members of other
    diplomats.

Can you believe the government would put anti-gay bias
above national security and the safety of its
    employees’ loved ones?

Australian government is similarly shortsighted. See GayinWA.com — “Rudd Government accused over same-sex discrimination” By Gavin McGuren, 27 February 2008 link contained in: EffectMeasure — Indonesian virus sharing and “God’s Plan” (March 2, 2008) by revere

Midst the course of the 90s I became contemptuous of Oz public service. As a partner of a gov employee, I was horrified and disgusted by a homophobia prevalent in government. My former partner, Leighton E, had a mini breakdown from working within a vile environment which routinely rewarded bigoted behavior — racism, homophobia, sexism. I held him in my academic arms at home whilst he ranted and cried ’bout his working conditions. Of course, the government failed to see me as his partner!

I just wrote to my Members of Congress and urged them
to support and cosponsor the Domestic Partnership
Benefits and Obligations Act. I hope you’ll take a
minute to join me in taking action on this. Just go

Revere-No, its not about Obama. Its about this constant rant from the Obama camp that he is a black candidate. I couldnt even say I was a white candidate because of the Indian blood in me. Then there is the Chris Wallace dustup. It should have never gotten that far ….and wouldnt if they all were sitting dissecting this B.S. about Obama’s granny and mom being white. Who gives a shit?

I want to know what first Obama has done. Certainly less than Hillary. No, I am not fired up about McCain either. It should come as no surprise to any of you that the advertisers dictate whats going to be on the news because they pay the bills. But it would be nice if the NYT’s didnt lie, and Rather didnt have his group fabricating news… Dont even begin to tell me about the Repugnants when you speak about the left. IMO Dan Rather got Bush elected because it was clear he was the victim of a vast left wing conspiracy then. And then they swiftboated Kerry. All of this with the newspeople gleefully taking dollars from Monsanto to Chlorox. You think this is an Obama rant. Not hardly. It IS though that they ALL are taking advertisers dollars and objective journalism is outta there completely. So its not just Fox, its CBS, NBC, CNN and any of the others that are in this information circle jerk. There is no credibility.

Chris Wallace making comments to those guys is kind of dumb… I look for repercussions myself as there shouldnt be dissent. Its not about race at all. Its about media turning race into an issue.

The last piece was good, but as I said they availed themselves of the legal system and lost. Therefore the news people involved were wrong and thats the bottom line. I dont disagree with their intent but they tried to keep it between the rails and they touched the third one. Its like they are trying to take the moral high ground in a whorehouse.

Spend a lot of time in that translation FO? The MSM since the sixties bullshitted us on everything from wars to the cost of war on poverty. They had no credibility and they had drifted so far left that even Ed Asner was a centrist. Murdoch was no fool and saw a perfect opportunity. He didnt

Here we go:*) I aint Black, Asian, Hispanic, etc, or female or heterosexual. I’m a 39 year old anglo fag second class citizen who is sick and fucking tired of being demonized and scapegoated by government — if I eventually meet a dude who wanna gets hitched, then fuck off Bush, Rudd, et. al and leave me and my adult partner alone…

Email excerpt from Governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico (Fri, 21 Mar 2008):*)

“As a Hispanic, I was particularly touched by his words. I have been troubled by the demonization of immigrants — specifically Hispanics — by too many in this country.

Hate crimes against Hispanics are rising as a direct result and now, in tough economic times, people look for scapegoats and I fear that people will continue to exploit our racial differences — and place blame on others not like them. We all know the real culprit — the disastrous economic policies of the Bush Administration!

Senator Obama has started a discussion in this country long overdue and rejects the politics of pitting race against race. He understands clearly that only by bringing people together, only by bridging our differences can we all succeed together as Americans…”

Randy, I think we’d be educationally entertaining as attorneys:

In March 2006, I received a positive legal email from
Gloria Allred, an infamous California attorney (see below):

    http://www.amglaw.com/bio/GloriaAllred.asp

Her email concerns were focused on lawsuits vis a vis
time periods — this is ironic given two facts…

    * FOI have been stalling, withholding info since the
get go — FOI are legally culpable for stonewalling!

    * The primary issue concerning and justifying the WA
police and medicolegal establishment’s violent 1997/8
mistreatment of me was my so called “drug induced”
“delusional” belief in an impending global disaster —
    ie. the H2H H-this N-that transgenic pandemic…

Due to my questioning character, I happened to be one
of those who awakened early to the pandemic threat of
    H5N1.

Since 2000, I’ve been fully cognizant of the probable consequences of accelerated horizontal gene transfer and recombination…

Writing ’bout this evolutionary paradigm is now easy as transposing Indonesian health minister Supari into the fascinating “Usual Suspects” Kylie Minogue music video for “Did it Again” (1997) — I do hope “Austin Powers Supari” with her science-based silver baseball bat prevails against “Dr. Evil Supari”:

    H5N1 Blog — A human/avian flu co-infection reported (March 17, 2008) by Crof
    http://crofsblogs.typepad.com/h5n1/2008/03/a-humanavian-co.html

Gloria Allred, as a heterosexual, cannot see the obvious even though she once represented pop icon Michael Jackson. Unbigoted, empathetic solicitors in Perth, WA!?! My situation is tres analogous to an African-American finding non-racist/sexist legal representation in smallville

America during the 1960s. Remember back in the day, how big city US solicitors used to travel to “inbred” locales and represent black clients “socially raped” into the role of the whipping boy/scapegoat!?! Quite often, smalltown blacks would ostracize the accused individual due to the socioeconomic realities of these bigoted environments — without a job there’s no money, food or shelter.

40 plus years later and nothing has changed. Many West Aussie homosexuals have been inculcated by Nazi-“Dr. Evil” sociopaths (eg. Oz Prime Minister Kevin Rudd) into the delusional ideological belief our sexuality is “sub-human” relative to heterosexuality and undeserving of equal citizenship. In this bigoted social climate, there’s little opportunity for fair legal representation in smallville Oz.

    Subject: Your legal inquiry
    Date: Thu, 2 Mar 2006
    From: Gloria Allred
    To: Jonathon Singleton

    Dear Mr. Singleton,

I am in receipt of your email outlining your legal
    claims.

I regret to inform you that due to our heavy caseload
and other commitments, neither I nor my law firm are
in a position to become involved in this matter. You
may wish to contact your county’s Bar Association
fora referral to an appropriate attorney.

Please be advised that in every case there is a time
period in which an individual must file a lawsuit or
forever lose the right to do so. I have made no
attempt to ascertain what that time period is as it
pertains to the set of circumstances you describe.

In addition, the fact that I cannot represent you
should not necessarily be construed to mean that you
have no case. If you wish to pursue this matter
further, I would strongly urge that you seek a lawyer
immediately to evaluate the facts and to advise you as
to the time period available within which to file a
    lawsuit.

I appreciate your inquiry and wish you success in your
    pursuit of justice.

    Very truly yours,

As an active political blogger and T.V. news junkie … I can tell you that CNN online and Jack Cafferty on cable, are two of the worst offenders of pro Obama media bias, on a regular basis. Cafferty is constantly slamming Obama opponents on air, and he’s careful not to publish opposing views on his ‘Ask Jack’ blog … and CNN online moderates blogs in favor of Obama … sends bloggers to the most far left blog sites, if they want to comment … closes blog comments as soon as the blogs appear online … moderate their blogs in favor of Obama … and slant stories to favor Obama.
