In honor of George Carlin: Fuck

Category: Personal
Posted on: June 23, 2008 10:25 AM, by ERV

Fuck.

**sigh**

For my 23rd brithday, the fellow I was dating at the time got us tickets to see Carlin. Wonderful memory... But I was kinda hoping Id get to see him again, sometime...

Fuck.

Well, for those of you concerned that Fundie cocksuckers wouldnt jump on this with "CARLINS NUT AN ATHIEST NAU!", fear not. The cunts always deliver.

Not that I think George would be offended. Fundies crying crocodile tears at your funeral is a great honor :)

Waking up to news like this is not a great way to start my day or my week. Carlin was a big influence on me and it's going to be hard not to have him point out the myriad of hypocrisies that exist in every day life. Or to tell him what words are stupid and contradictory and emotionless. With that in mind, I was more than amused when I read an obituary of him that referred to his previous wife as being "predeceased". It's not hard to imagine what George would have thought of that.

Hah, those fundie nuts even admit they are retarded.

Even funnier, I was going to post in their Carlin thread so I registered and while looking around I got banned for being a troll!

Fucking cunts. That whole post is an exercise in concern trolling them selves. What a bunch of douchebags.

Dang they closed the thread. Cunts! (Sorry, that was said in honor of Mr. Carlin).

Cue the "deathbed conversion of George Carlin" story in 5, 4, 3...

One of the commenters even quoted Carlin's monologue about God the all-powerful, all-loving, 10-commandments send-you-to-burning-hell super-guy who can't handle money, and then still did the "he's burning in hell now" thing.

Pardon my denseness (or should that be "dordness"?), but I don't get the Sagan link. Who hypochrisied his funeral?

Like many of us, I read through the entire thread at Rapture Ready (Pret-a-TelePorter?) The line that almost got me to register:

It just goes to show us all that everyone will reap what they have sown...
Show?? You've seen something?

Very illuminating on some people's definition of "evidence." "George Carlin blasphemed the Lord, and now he's in hell. See what happens?"

Is that some kind of anatomy joke? (Tell it to Julius Caesar.)

After trying to read through that thread on Rapture Ready, I was throwing up in my mouth. I had to post about it myself.

The signature at the bottom of the comment reveals the true mentality of these people.

A new commandment I give to you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. John 13:34

followed by the image of the Confederate battle flag.

WTF? Did I miss a turn somewhere? Someplace where the secessionist states didn't support slavery? How is that compatible with the noble principle of loving one another?

The stupid; it burns!!!

Hmm, he was apparently born in 1937. I had no idea Carlin was that old. I suppose this is evidence that the good don't always die young.

I OTOH was going to comment on that I didn't know Carlin was that young, he looked older, and died so soon. So what is the average life expectancy in US anyway?

Seems to be ~ 75 years for males last year, not so different from other nations. AFAIU Carlin died young.

One of the benefits of being a Boomer is having seen George Carlin on Laugh-In as the Hippy Dippy Weatherman and the Hippy Dippy Mailman. Later, in college, we'd play Carlin albums over and over, cracking up just as much every time.

Great stuff.

Carlin's brand of intellectual humor has never been surpassed.

He will be missed greatly.

It's been a bad year. First we lost Kurt Vonnegut and now George Carlin, both giants. The insect fundies can dance on their graves all they want, but it won't decrease the greatness of these two artists.

From Jon Stewart's "Your moment of Zen"...

George Carlin, circa 1992, commenting about the first Gulf war:

If you want to know what happened in the Persian Gulf just remember the names of the two men who were running that war...DICK Cheney and COLON Powell.....somebody got fucked in the ass!!!

Truly a loss. He was really showing his age in the last HBO special, though. That's the consequences of hard living, but I'm just glad GC lasted as long as he did. RIP George.

George Carlin was and still is, one of my personal heroes.

His ability to to view ordinary things from a completely new and amusing point of view.

Which helped me to recognize that not everyone has the exact same outlook.

Which in turn lead me to look for alternate outlooks than mine.

Which eventually lead me out of the quagmire of religious belief.

*sigh*

You'll always be a hero, George. And your wise (and funny) words will live on, for a very long time.

Fuck, the motherfucking cocksucking cunts sure wasted no time in pissing and shitting on his tits, did they?

Goodbye George, I learned all seven at my father's knee, listening to you on vinyl. Your dead ass can't hear me anymore, but I will always hear you.

Kisses,
JanieBelle

P.S. fart, turd, twat and my own personal favorite combination, twatfart, just for good measure.

Abbie, sad news indeed. I just wanna say to you:

FUCK YOU! FUCK YOU A THOUSAND TIMES AND MORE!

And to Behe, Dembski and their ilk:

UNFUCK YOU! UNFUCK YOU EVERY SINGLE DAY OF YOUR LIFE!

Abbie, when I first heard this, I thought, I have lost my oracle, my source of truth.

Here's one for the fundies:

"Why is it that most of the people who are against abortion are people you wouldn't want to fuck in the first place?"
