This is going to be the best day ever.

I have my first committee meeting this morning (the group of people who tell you when/if you can ever graduate).

I have an Advanced Micro test this afternoon (I am a complete moron when it comes to bacteria, this is going to be fun).

And then the goddamned election.

Best. Day. Ever.

The bacteria are the ones that can replicate.

Oh, and the eukaryotes are the cute furry ones.

Good luck on the committee meeting! I'm sure you'll do great. I'm not sure if yours have the same format as at our school, but mostly they just want to make sure that you've got a good project/plan laid out for the rest of your dissertation. It's usually not very antagonistic at all :)

LOTS of anxiety + LOTS of coffee = barf...

You just need to use LOTS of love from Arnie to counter the anxiety. Good luck.

Look at it this way: after today, NO MORE IDIOTIC ADS FROM INHOFF FOR 4 YEARS! YAAAAY!

Moreover, it gets better: he will scoot off back to Washington, never to set foot in Oklahoma until 4 years are up.

After all, we KNOW he must hate Oklahoma with a passion: since he NEVER DOES ANYTHING POSITIVE FOR OKLAHOMA!

Good luck on both your test and your meeting: if you present yourself as I've seen in the past, you'll do excellent (meeting-wise)

Good luck on the test and the board. And hopefully, by tonight, the Republican nightmare we have experienced for the last 8 years will be on the way out.

On average, I barfed twice a semester from sleep deprivation and stress all through grad school.

I don't miss that at all.

Ginger is very good for nausea. Ginger ale, candied ginger, sushi ginger, etc.
