Dawkins at OU: Win!

Okay so there was some drama last week when tickets to see Dawkins at OU sold out in… less than 15 minutes.

Good news!

Though Dawkins vetoed moving the presentation to the largest venue on campus (lol picturing Dawkins rocking out in an arena like Metallica), there will be A/V feeds of the presentation to other rooms, and it will be recorded!

Also, lol that a lot of fundies are pissed they didnt get tickets. HEH!

Metallica sucks, Richard Dawkins is more like Slayer.

(lol picturing Dawkins rocking out in an arena like Metallica)

He’s booked for Northrup in Minnesota (4,800). They hosted Dylan and the Russian Ballet (presumably not at the same time).

Now if somebody would just get Dylan, the Russian Ballet and Dawksins all in the same place, that I would buy tickets for…

News from the HIV-denialist front: http://www.naturalnews.com/News_000646_AIDS_HIV_medical_myths.html

“On December 1, 2008, a group of 37 scientists sent a letter to Science, requesting that the journal retract its 1984 publication of Gallo’s papers. This, of course, would cause huge upheavals throughout the conventional AIDS pill-pusher communities (Big Pharma, conventional doctors, etc.) because Gallo’s papers have been quoted by literally thousands of other scientific papers published in the last 25 years. If Gallo’s work is retracted, it would mean that every paper published since then might deserve additional scrutiny, too, and pretty soon the whole AIDS house of cards (and lies) comes tumbling down.”

Oh noes! What happens to my lucrative HIV/AIDS-industry stocks?

Assfuck Paholaisen Asianajaja is off topic here. The post was about a presentation by Richard Dawkins, who I seriously doubt was going to discuss AIDS.

By the way, the naturalnews web site is a haven for quacks and cranks and is totally inaccurate and unreliable. Fucktard Asianajaja will have to do better then that.

Calm, calm… Paholaisen Asianajaja is how people who are not good at Finnish translate the expression “Devil’s Advocate”
It’s just a troll. Wish it haista vittu and ignore it.

Why did Dawkins veto the use of the larger venue?

I did forget to put “OT” in my comment. Sorry about that.

Plus, what Cath the Canberra Cook said.

Wow, that Dawkins sure is a poor communicator! If only he understood framing and wasn’t so strident, maybe he’d be more popular, like that rock star Nisbet guy who gets all the babes and big-time speaking engagements…

Dawkins had one of the largest venues at Arizona State University and it was pretty much full…If my shitkicking state of Arizona can bring a crowd, anybody can!
