Who needs marriage? A new storm gathering

Category: Pop Culture

Season 2 of True Blood starts tonight.

Excuse me for a moment.

*ahem* EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! *giddyclappingandgiggling*

Now before you roll your eyes and ask 'What the hell is up with vampires these days? Is 'True Blood' just a slightly less pathetic version of 'Twilight' shit?', watch this PR clip created by 'The Fellowship of the Sun'.

Reverend Steve Newlin, pastor of the Fellowship of the Sun congregation, one of the fastest growing pro-living evangelical movements in the world, today announced his campaign to Save Human Marriage.

"There is a new storm gathering," Newlin said in announcing the effort. "A storm more devastating to our way of life than anything human kind has seen before -- legalized vampire marriage."

I know that clip is funny, but if the plot of Season 2 follows the second Sookie Stackhouse mystery, The Fellowship is made up of some scary ass mother fuckers. In Sookie-verse, humans are good, and bad, and good/bad. So are vampires. And fairies. And goblins. Everybody is wonderfully white/black/gray, all at the same time. The only people who are always horrifying are members of The Fellowship.

At the moment, I think a lot of us can relate to that...

You know, a youtube video of you doing the giddy clapping giggle dance would quickly become your most viewed link ever.

Just saying...

I second Joe's sentiments. It could even spark a new viral trend.

That is a very well done clip. If I were the True Blood people I'd start putting that clip on as a regular advertisement with no mention of the show. (I don't have TV access right now. Have they done so?)

I'd seen the first season of the show in the TV section at Best Buy and while it looked interesting based on the case I never looked further than that... After seeing this video and checking out some of the teasers for the show I'm definitely buying the first season tomorrow and having a friend save the new season on his DVR so I can keep up with it!

Thanks for broadening my world Abby :)

Watched the first of season two last night. That opening scene was the dirtiest fakeout ever for those who've read the books.

I expected a phone call from some of our friends cussing about it.

The ending was interesting, though.

I'm trying to be patient. I'm trying really hard to save all of this season to the DVR so I can watch the entire season in a go. But I have a feeling I'm going to fail miserably. Want to watch so bad!

Speaking of blood, and irony (cos blood is irony), Glasgow Diabetes Support Group are holding a Cheese & Wine Party.
Do vamps get diabetes, I wonder?

"Do vamps get diabetes, I wonder?"

Only if they feed on Paula Deen.

Even though I should not have seen this yet, I have and am going to be spreading the love. I have read the books, while my partner hasn't and she is in lust with Eric. She needs to read the books
