Yeah, that guy was for real.

The debate actually makes more sense if you watch it with the nonsensical closed captions turned on.

He is a real Evangelical Christian who, with his intellectual-equal wife, hold political sway in this state.

It. Is. Disgusting.

So why do something like this? Why give this jackass another forum? Why give the appearance of ‘debate’?

1– It was fun.

2– Young one after young one who came up to me afterwords, SO FRIGGEN EXCITED about science.

    hoary puccoon; evolution is a process which I (being a man of science) am not denying. All I’m suggesting is that Universe itself may be intelligently designed; of which there is now potentially some evidence.

    One would have as much success trying to explain to Kern partial differential equations. He wouldn’t understand that either. He is a scientifically ignorant fool with absolutely no understanding of the sciences trying to force his brand of fundamentalist Christianity onto others. He is as evil as a fundamentalist Muslim trying to blow himself up for Allah.

    He just never got the whole ERV thing, did he? He thought all throughout that you were talking about the revolution of viruses. Amazing. And then he considers himself competent to render an opinion on the matter!
