HB1551 is dead

The Young Earth Creationist Intelligent Design Creationist 'Academic Freedom' bill 'authored' by infamous Young Earth Creationist Intelligent Design Creationist 'Academic Freedomist' Sally Kern (introduced this year by King Gus of the Playground) is dead.

The Education Committee didnt even talk about it.

Cant wait to see the exact same bill introduced by the exact same Usual Suspects next year.

**rolleyes**

More like this

Don't stress. Just put it in the same mental place as hauling the trash.
Soon as you sit down again, there's another sackful some pig has produced in the corner, stinking the place out.

(I think you're being a bit modest here, ma'am. I'd put good gold money on the relevant committees hearing of your face:off with that dozy old bloke, and thinking "people is just goin' ta laff ... ")

I love American politics. :-D

Never did figure out what anti-Christ liberals had against teaching how the universe and life really began. Darwin enver explained how dirt evolved from nothingness into planets. Go ahead secular oppressives, explain how dirt evolved from nothing. Explian what was BEFORE the "big bang".

That's what i thought. you remain clueless while use creationism fellows know how it started. Now, if you don't mind let the people who know how things work teach the kiddies for a change.

I say!
Absinthe! What a jolly idea, Professor!
My dear old thing, got any spare?

Creationists know how to be irrational. That's a good start, truly and sincerely so.

Now and before going further, it is necessary to clearly explain how being irrational is *actually* being intelligent.

No joke. This is the age old sticking point.

(BTW, I don't have a quick and easy answer for this predicament. Nor am I seeking a 'Jesus' routine herein)

.. and your lovely friend has laudanum as well!
Simply too,too super!
Oh, what fun we're going to have.

It won't stay dead. I'm told these things rise again after the third day . . .

Dustbubble, you are cracking my shit up today.

Click his name. I have to say his post indeed has some merit.

The bill which died on its own got quietly inserted into another bill and it was not noticed until it got passed the committee which had previously killed the bill.

It is alive again.

Oklahomans contact your state senator at once:

http://ncse.com/news/2012/04/renewed-assault-science-oklahoma-007288
http://www.oklascience.org/ (scroll down to story, it includes email address of the senators)

As ERV pointed out before: real names. I might add Oklahomans might emphasize that they from Oklahoma by including their snail mail address.

"Professor Of Scientific Rehabilitation of Secular Oppressives" aka Rob Hood, the undertreated mentally ill denizen who haunts SB@ 4:

Go ahead secular oppressives, explain how dirt evolved from nothing. Explian what was BEFORE the "big bang".

Gee, Rob, I wasn't even on the site that day and you still have a fixation on me!

Justicar, Rob is convinced that I am either Canadian or from New Jersey, and since I have been outing him when I happen to see his posts, he has been busy trying to insult me in this way or posting the same nonsense under my 'nym.

What it really says is that he is giving me a huge estate in his head, rent-free. And since he doesn't have enough well-functioning brain cells to begin with, the result is, well, as you have seen. Try searching the site for "Rob Hood" and follow back through my outings to his original posts.

It would be funnier if it wasn't a bit tragic...

I hate to sound contrarian or standoffish, NJ, but there are real things I'd rather spend my time researching here on science blogs. =P

Cindermass, I called it! It rose again on the 3rd day! (my use of day may or may not correspond to a literal day entirely depending on whether you're a Justicar literalist, or you think Justicar is just a good moral guide, and allegory cobbled together by various philosophers over the ages.)

"Never did figure out what anti-Christ liberals"

Were.

They don't exist.

Just because some people don't see why your fantasy figure isn't merely a fantasy figure doesn't make them anti-your-fantasy-figure any more than people who don't believe that Dumbo the Elephant doesn't *really* exist are anti-Dumbo-the-Elephant liberals.

"against teaching how the universe and life really began"

That would not be a problem. It's the creotards like yourself who are against teaching how the universe and life really began (though this would be high school physics and abiogenesis, or college physics).

"Darwin enver explained how dirt evolved from nothingness into planets."

That would be because you should be asking the astrophysicists.

And creationists never explained how dirt evolved from nothingness into man.

"Explian what was BEFORE the "big bang"."

Explain what is north of the North Pole. Explain where the light goes when you turn the the lightbulb off. Explain where the egg-whisking activity goes when you stop whisking your egg whites.

Explain what the difference between a duck's legs are.

Point extremely well taken.

Still, if you find you have to indulge a taste for unadulterated looniness on a rainy afternoon, our boy Rob will fill the bill.

We are mounting a strong opposition to the amendment to HB 2341 that places the original content of SB 1551 in the bill. HB 2341 can be considered at any time now and time is not on the side of opposition.

For those willing to help: The addresses of the entire Oklahoma Senate are listed in my comment on he Sensuous Curmudgeon blog under the post "Oklahoma... Again." One can simply copy and paste the address list onto the 'To" address tab and send one message to release all members. The body of the message can be very short. Thanks to those who can help!

Death-by-libertarianism: If a bill fails to pass into legislation mutate, reinfect, recombine and/or recall the legislators.

(SuperPAC Insideâ¢)

Uhmm, to be polite ... reinfect 'reinoculate'

Sorry

More details and the addresses of the Oklahoma Senate members are listed on the OESE web site: http://www.oklascience.org/

We are getting a fair response and hope readers of this blog can help! The bill (HB 2341) with its amendment is not on the agenda for next Monday, 9 April, but can appear at any time after that.

Yippee!!!

Sally Kern smack-down!
