By the end of today, we will have over 200,000 visits to Evolving Thoughts. That's in not quite two years, ever since PZ Myers outed me back in June 2004. On average around 5000 visits and 8000 page reads a week. Assuming nobody visits more than once a day, that's a thousand readers. PZ might sneer at such low figures, but then I don't try to earn a second income from blogging, and besides, I try to steer clear of politics, which is where the audience is. So to you faithful 1000, thanks! Most philosophers would kill for an audience of that size.

Mr Wilkins in reality we only keep coming back in the hope that you will make a really big mistake so that we can all shit on your head. Unfortunately you go on consistently producing interesting, informative, entertaining and humourous articles with a very high readabilty factor. I was glad to see John finally got a blog, now we see some serious output from him. It was funny to see him enter a thread on t.o, and it would quickly deteriorate into a pun-fest. The creo-loons couldn't handle the humor. And I don't hold it against him, at all, that his law firm, "Snatchit, Grabit & Run", tried to extort a nickel every time I used the term IDiot. Thank zeus they didn't have jurisdiction in the U.S. Or was it catshark's threat of a countersuit.

I have to admit I come several times a day some of the times... Usually I have a very fast lurk-and-run attitude, and I come back at evening to read things I remember hooked my attention during the day (but sort of a squirrel I don't always remember the nuts and still come back even later).
As to why I read this blog is reminiscent from an old t.o. compulsive reading behaviour, and also to make sure John hasn't already been writing on things poping in my mind... :-)
