McCain Picks Palin for VP

One day after Senator Barack Obama officially accepted the presidential nomination for the Democratic Party, campaign officials confirmed that Senator John McCain has chosen Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate. Palin, a social conservative, opposes abortion and supports the teaching of creationism in public schools.
